You know he doesn’t prepare his team well, takes mediocre quarterbacks and develops a system to make them look 10x better than they are, can’t handle the really big games with his preparation, and is questionable on talent evaluation.

Yet, the Eagles have had a good run with him even given that his professional abilities are overrated and that his defensive coordinator saved his hide most of the time.

Getting rid of Andy will not improve the Eagles. As long as they continue to procure worthless pieces of human debris for players, they’ll be worse with someone else. There isn’t a hint of true talent on that team that has any sense of ethics and professionalism. They are greedy me-too players that you can’t depend on.

Keep Andy if you want to be just above the Redskins or get rid of him if you want to finish last.

Last season, the defense collapsed with 4th quarter leads how many times? Five?

This season, they’ve now done it twice in a row.

Unless Vick is going to start playing safety or defensive end, not sure how Andy (or anyone else) can legitimately pin this loss on him.

Get real. That play was a busted coverage, which is why there was no one within 20 yards of him when he caught the ball… he didn’t “burn” anybody.

I’m an Eagles fan and Andy Reid does a great job with job. He’s a genuine businessman.

Mind you I said that long before he was exposed as a dog killer, and that has nothing to do with this. From a pure football point of view, the Eagles (or anyone else) are never going anywhere with Vick.

The D-line is the best we’ve had. The corners are excellent if they are used properly. Celek is a beast, as in McCoy. The only real weak spot is the OL due to injury. The problem is the scheme, play calling and discipline. All of that is COACHING.

The wins have been better with Andy than anytime I can remember (& I’ve been a fan since the ’70s). It’s not like we’ve won Super Bowls before Andy Reid, so maybe we shouldn’t be bashing so much. With that said, maybe it is time for a fresh start, just remember though… the grass isn’t always greener on the other side of the fence.

as for castillo…..will never understand how you fire mcdermott after his defense HELD on the last possession against aaron rodgers and the packers…..he had put you in a position to win and vick threw the INT meant for riley. castillo could be good….but like anyone else he needs some time to make mistakes to master his craft. was never going to happen overnight.

For those who want to fire Andy Reid.
Keep in mind during you rant…He has the 20th best winning percentage in the history of the game (.611 winning percentage- min 100 games) right next to Tom Landry and Bill Walsh.
He’s done it with multiple Qbs (McNabb, Garcia, Vick, even AJ Feeley) Going to the playoffs with them contributing.
You don’t easily replace that.

They’re so pass-happy they came out on a 3rd and 1 Sunday in the shotgun. McCoy’s a great back, but not only is he under-utilized, but most of his carries come on stretch plays that are feast or famine–he either breaks them big or gets tackled for a loss when the defense penetrates the slow developing play.

Their offense simply doesn’t suit their personnel and I’m skeptical it could win you a championship even with ideal personnel as there’s always going to come a point when you need to pound it up inside and get some tough yards. They’re all finesse, all the time, and that just doesn’t work in football.

same with andy and marty. after running the same play over left tackle and being pushed 3 yards into the backfield several times, they never adjusted.

unfortunately, vick cannot run a successful screen game. he has no touch and can’t anticipate. he is reactionary and throws flat balls that are batted down, uncatchable, or worse, just deflected into the middle of the field.. where they become fair game for the linebackers and safeties.

luckily this team has some talent, but unless andy shakes things up beyond his inclination as a plodder, i’m afraid they will continue to disappoint.

Vick is also terrible this year. He’s averaging 3 turnovers a game. The Eagles’ ship is sinking fast.
