Not all of us were ‘trying to minimize’…See you in the playoffs.

Rodgers – have always had mad respect for him when he virtually carried the whole Oregon State team for 3 seasons; but it appears that he cannot break the tackles of defenders in the pros the way he did in college. And unfortunately, that is a key to his running style; he is not a “speedy scatback” in the Darren Sproles mold, the way so many seem to see him. He is useful in the short passing game, but doesn’t appear to have the skills to carry the load as a runner.

Snelling – the Falcons value veterans such as this who know the system and avoid mistakes, but it’s clear that his skills have regressed – can’t imagine he would be able to step in like he did for Turner a few years ago.

Summary – TD and the personnel department need to be looking for backs next year – maybe one in an early round.

When they throw Quizz in, he is almost ALWAYS getting the ball. You don’t think NFL defenses are going to key in on that? They either throw him a screen or run him. No doubt that he could have done better with his opportunities to this point, but he needs help too.

Turner on the other hand, is simply playing to his skillset. Its true that penetration kills any running game but its especially true for Turner. If you make him change direction in the backfield, the play is literally over because he doesn’t have an ounce of agility. However, if he gets a decent sized hole, he’ll be running down hill at you with no regard for human life. That has ALWAYS been him.

I’d like to see more time for Jason Snelling and Antone Smith. Snelling has always been good and has not gotten a fair shake. Throw Smith in there for the hell of it, because not much else is working.

“I think its quite funny that haters making comments about an undefeated team. Every other team in the league (GB, NE, SF, Hou, Bal, Chi, NYG) where they were either completely dominated or beat by a team they they should have rolled over. An ugly win is a win. All teams (except maybe NYG) are fighting to win their division and get the #1 seed. The Falcons can’t be in better position to do that. ATL is still learning how to use their offense and Nolan is still trying to make his mark on Defense… They have to sure up some things if they hope to beat the most powerful teams. However, ATL has the talent and ability to compete with those teams.”

I have nothing but respect for the Falcons, and as a Bears fan I would say you are correct about Atlanta’s talent being good enough…And yes, each of the teams you mentioned has been beat badly at least once (in our case, GB done it, but we have gone 3-0 since)…I’d say if the Bears and Falcons meet in the Playoffs it will be a fun and competitive game to watch.

Coaches don’t trust him at all down there….or anybody else.

The achilles heel of the Falcons is getting it into the endzone from close range.
