PFT Live: Is Detroit’s swagger back?

Can’t see it, not very disciplined and a bad defense. They have a lot of talent but seem to get discouraged easy and certain players take too many plays off in the course of the game!

What? “Discouraged easy”? Seriously? Are you watching Lions game tape from 3-4 years ago, or what? How do you explain the “discouraged Lions” late game come backs? A discouraged team would not be able to do that. They are anything but discouraged. This team has tons of fight and courage to go with their talent. I think the game planning, amongst other things, is what’s holding them back.

So you think the coaching is suspect? Couldn’t be their attitude huh! No DEFENSE! If The team that I saw Sunday plays like that the rest of the year then they’ll lose a lot of games! The Eagles are a bad and overhyped team, They got away from what they did early in the game and played not to lose and they lost.

No defense? Why do SO MANY FANS suck at making correct observations of teams? Ok, let’s break down the facts, shall we? Right now the Lions rank 24th in points allowed. That includes 4, count them, 4 special teams tds against. I don’t know about you, but when I think about whether a team’s defense is good or not I do not even consider their special teams since it’s played by backups and mistakes are more easily corrected there than in any other aspect of the game. Aright…if you remove those 28 points, the Lions are now ranked 15th. (Ahead of New England, Green Bay, Denver, and Pittsburgh, all teams that most people think have “good” defenses.) If you’re talking about the 11 starters, I would say they’re holding it down nicely.

No defense. Get the hell outta here with that.

The Lions having ‘swagger’ after a 2-3 record, an anemic offense, and an undisciplined defense is a lot like a farmer who spins a massive drought away, saying ‘it’s good for the cotton crop’.
