Doesn’t matter what you think their record “should” be right now. Their record is 5-1. End of story.

The Ravens offense has shown they can now concentrate more on outscoring their opponents, versus scoring merely enough so the defense can control the flow of the game otherwise. I’m not saying they’re invincible or anything, but they will still win a bunch more games than they lose the rest of the way. That’s what good teams do – they overcome injuries and issues within the team.

I certainly expect the Ravens to be pasted this weekend in Houston. But I also don’t think it’s crazy to think they’ll still manage to win double-digit games this year, and even secure one of the top two playoff spots come January. They’ve already got a two-game edge over New England in addition to beating them head-to-head, and Denver and San Diego are mediocre teams. Who else steps up in the AFC?

They’ve been exposed for what they are – over-the-hill and overrated and over-injured. Ravens Sunday’s of squeeking out wins against average teams are done.

I guess that stretch without Sugar Ray last year with McClain at the helm was a good thing. It shows that the team is equipped to live up to the ”next man up” mantra.

Webbs’ loss is a disaster. Those other young corners just aren’t ready to perform consistently.

This may be the saddest win in franchise history.
