Tracy Porter stayed home with illness, out tonight

Tracy Porter AP

The Broncos will be short in the secondary tonight in San Diego, as starter Tracy Porter was downgraded to out because of an illness and didn’t travel with the team.

According to Mike Klis of the Denver Post, Porter showed up at the Broncos facility intending to travel, but was dizzy and light-headed and wasn’t taken along.

In his absence, the Broncos will start either Tony Carter or Chris Harris, a man down against a team that’s willing to spread the field.

Thank God Denver had the foresight to draft somebody’s backup QB of the future in the second round this year. No way depth in the secondary trumps clipboard management in these situations. No, freaking, way.

I would have completely agreed with you if you would have suggested depth at DT or especially MLB. Joe Mays is horrible and Keith Brooking is old.

However, Chris Harris will be starting and that kid is good. If he plays like he has been playing in nickel situations then Tracy might not get his job back.

You mean I won’t be able to see that overrated corner get burned on 2 or 3 game changing bombs down field (see HOU v DEN & DEN v NE)? I’ll call my 8 yr old niece and see if she’s available to fill in. No one will know the difference.

wont need him….the Bolts are gonna take a page out of Bill B’s handbook and try and run run run.
they should succeed at running but will come up short when Manning throws 4 TD’s and 400+ yds
    broncos 38
    Bolts 27
