Hey Guys, I've been a Falcon fan since 1966. We couldn't have gotten off to a worse start than being owned by Rankin Smith & family. Our first draft choice, Tommy Nobis was a great one and it's a travesty that he's not in the HOF as I can think of only 1 LB that MIGHT have been better. We had a few good years in the '80's when S. Bartkowski came to town. Then in the late '90's when we appeared in our only SB only to have our star DB Eugene Robinson arrested the night before for soliciting prostitution. Our shining moment was when a young M. Vick led us into hallowed Lambeau Field and handed the mighty Packers their very playoff loss ever at home; We all know how the Vick saga turned out. Guys........trust me on this: We never take the next win for granted! Come on, you can at least give us our due. We just had our first consecutive winning seasons 2 years ago! You should at least let us revel a bit while we can!

The Ravens will be D will improve greatly when Suggs gets back. I wouldn't be surprised if they kept Suggs and Ngata on the bench for the Houston game, so they'll be healthier when they come out of their BYE week. A loss against the texans would suck, and a loss is a loss, but they'll probably be the top 2 seeded teams, and how often do the top seeded teams meet in the playoffs?

Also Joe Flacco and the offense are doing pretty well. People act like this team can't score, and other than that chief game where the line forgot how to block and the wide outs forgot how to catch, they've put up a lot of points this year.

Oh and you steeler fans talking smack crack me up. Old, slow, done. Enjoy your loser record, losers.

Matt Ryan’s 0-3 playoff record isn’t good, but that doesn’t mean he’ll never get over the hump.

Eli Manning, who everyone thinks is the greatest big-game QB alive, lost his first 2 playoff games.

Mark Sanchez has a 4-2 playoff record, and there is no way I would take Sanchez over Ryan.

I’m not saying Atlanta wins the SB, but let’s not assume they’ll be one-and-done.

--------------------------------------------------

I agree with most everything you said, except for your final sentence. If someone like the Giants or the Bears have to go to Atlanta in the second round of the playoffs, I could definitely see the Falcons laying another egg in their own home stadium again. I've been pretty down on Matt Ryan for most of his career, but he's made me shut up this season. Still, the Falcons are not invincible despite their 6-0 record so far.

Yes, I still like Urlacher...And yes, since Dallas was 2-1 going in to their game with the Bears, the Bears have indeed beaten a team with a winning record, and made them a .500 team (now 2-3) as a result.

"No non-Seattle fan will ever give your team credit for that win. It’s not going to happen. Deal with it."

The NFL gives us credit for that win, which is the only vote that really matters. :)

As a Cowboy fan, I can't argue with our ranking. Sure the Baltimore game showed signs of improvement, but mainly showcased our weakness of not playing smart, costly penalties and...hell we just don't have it right now. Need a gm, new qb, and offensive line to move in the right direction. Another pass rusher wouldn't hurt either.

Sorry Bears fans but have you looked at how bottom loaded your schedule is? From Week 10 on, you will see your day of reckoning. Not only should you expect to stumble once before that but from Week 10 on, you're running the gauntlet. Let's see how that woeful OL holds up. My guess....not well at all.

Either way you want to look at it, your comment doesn’t hold up.

Exept the NFL who reviewed the play and said it was a correct call by the officials.

You are right though, every fan who doesn’t know the rules of football will still think that call was bad – do you realize not ONE SINGLE real ref has said that was the wrong call.

Deal with that

Interesting. You do realize that the NFL did say that Offensive PI should have been called, which would have nullified the TD--AND that the guy who made the call originally says that it should have been an INT, right?

No, apparently you don't. Interesting. Perhaps you should pay attention to the NFL for awhile.

larrybaby gets all upset if the Bears aren't selected as the favorites for the SB for the next decade.

It's ok. He lives in Boys town.

The Bears will lose to the Vikings and Lions once each, Green Bay, Texans, and Niners for sure, and probably one between the Seahawks and Cards.

That's 9-7 or 10-6 at best.

Packers will win at least 11.

Even if they drop down to 10-6, they'll own the tiebreakers over the bears, who have done nothing impressive this season. At all.

I actually like our ranking...4 is such a nicer # than 21. And don't hold your breath waiting, either.

Power rankings mean nothing. Wild Card teams fare very well in the playoffs as recent history has shown us. Sometimes there may be less pressure with playing the favorite on the road. Giants still look good. Packers look good regardless of their record. Bears are sketchy. Cutler and the OL could meltdown at anytime. SF looks great at times. Look the Dolphins were picked dead last in the pre-season power rankings and could be 5-1. But at 3-3 and a favorable upcoming schedule they could be a surprise wildcard. Who knows?

"4. Bears: Are we the only ones who see the irony in Jay Cutler complaining about how other people treat him?"

I like the Bears at #4, but what I find ironic - if not very surprising - is that once again you chose to rag on Jay Cutler for something inconsequential, instead of mentioning something relevant, like Jay's won-lost record, or the lights-out defense.

Matt Ryan's 0-3 playoff record isn't good, but that doesn't mean he'll never get over the hump.

Eli Manning, who everyone thinks is the greatest big-game QB alive, lost his first 2 playoff games.

Mark Sanchez has a 4-2 playoff record, and there is no way I would take Sanchez over Ryan.

I'm not saying Atlanta wins the SB, but let's not assume they'll be one-and-done.

I hate that phrase because it’s false. All opponents are not the same. What if a team plays the Chiefs, Browns, and Jaguars to start the season 3-0? Do they get to claim they are better than a team that went 2-1 versus the 49ers, Giants, and Texans? After all, you are what your record says, right?

-------------------------------------------------------------

It would be false if it were the NCAA, but it's the NFL - any team can beat any team on any given Sunday.

If you absolutely destroy the Chiefs, Browns and Jags and go 3-0 while the other team beats the 49ers, Giants, and loses to the Texans, the 3-0 is absolutely better. Because it's not about perception, it's about reality and the reality is 3-0 is better than 2-1.
