This is a non-issue.

I have a partially torn labrum in my shoulder, and have had it for over 5 years.

Now I know I’m not a professional athlete, but I’m still a pretty active guy. The only thing it has hindered me with is I can’t hit a flat serve in tennis anymore (but can still hit slice and kicks), and I can’t maybe throw a runner out from left field if they were tagging and trying to go home. But I certainly can still play tennis or go play catch. Most sports movements are still plenty do-able at a high level with this type of injury.

As long as Ed Reed doesn’t try and become a quarterback, a torn labrum in his shoulder should be no problem.

As a Ravens fan I truly believe that neither Joe Flacco nor Ed Reed should be allowed to speak to the media in any capacity. Nothing good ever comes of it.

Opposing quarterbacks are salivating at the chance to torch this deteriorating crumbling unit as the league watches it fall apart piece by piece, day by day. And the pressure proportionally increases on Flappo and RiceCake.

Its funny how players all over the league are playing hurt, and not disclosing every nagging pain, but somehow its “karma” to the ravens. and for so many people to hate and dont care about the ravens… you guys really do spend a lot of time talking about them.

I also don’t get the injury report… supposedly it’s so that Vegas has proper info for people betting, but why does the NFL cow-tow to the gambling crowd anyway? It’s not like they’re needed to make the sport interesting. Get rid of the injury report altogether. Non-issue in my book.

Who really cares about the Ravens anyhow? All they do is run their mouths and never make it to the Show. Their fans also run their mouths too about how great their front office is and only have 1 Championship to show for it and that was 12 YEARS AGO.

You can play football well with a torn labrum, unless you’re throwing it shouldn’t really affect your play that much. I played baseball with the same injury (MRI was not pretty) but you can play through it much easier than with leg issues. I feel bad for all those injuries on the Balt D but a torn labrum is definitely not a death sentence.

Never understood the fascination of injury reports. Either a player is healthy enough to play, or not.

Bill Belichick lists 1/3 of his roster as “questionable” every week on his injury report, and nobody calls him out on it.

Ed is a warrior. He’s been playing at a high level with injuries since 2006. I’m used to this by now. No need to worry about Ed, Ravens have other concerns to worry about.
