Jets terminate “The Terminator,” reach settlement with John Conner

The Jets reached an injury settlement with fullback John Conner, effectively terminating “The Terminator.”

Conner’s been bothered by knee and hamstring problems in recent weeks, and coach Rex Ryan said the move “doesn’t preclude us from bringing him back at some point.

Of course, Conner’s now free to sign with any other team, and wouldn’t be able to rejoin the Jets until late this season.

The Jets signed linebacker Marcus Dowtin off the practice squad to take his place on the roster, with Ryan admitting they “needed the spot.”

OK I will bite. Did J.Conner say on his way out, “I’ll be back”?

Not to let facts get in the way of a joke, but John Conner was the guy The Terminator was hunting and not the name of The Terminator.

They should be referring to John Conner as The Rebellion Leader Against Skynet.

Loved this guy coming out of the draft, I hope he makes it back in the NFL. Wouldn’t mind if the Niners picked him up, if he could pass a physical.

He’ll probably land in New England with Danny Woodhead haunt the J.E.T.S

    dream on @ ampats!!!!

What’s interesting is that Rex has the Jets believing that they are every bit as good as the Patriots.

When you study upsets after-the-fact, that is a common thread – believing in yourselves.

For everyone commenting on the Jets being irrelevant and that no one cares about any news about them should stop. Apparently you care enough to stop, read the article, and take the time to post such a thoughtful response
