That and they beat the last 2 NFL MVPs in Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady en route to a 2nd Super Bowl since 2007 – maybe that carries more credibility than 2 upset losses in 2011?

And to make matter even worse, he completed a pass on 4 & 10 for 12 yards on your side.

RG looks pretty good so far – and g-men have 4 sb trophies – 2 in the last 4 years – so you should probably worry about the eagles and their struggles before worrying about other teams…….

you all can talk about rg3. but the story of this game will be the giants offense rolling over the redskins defense. theres only one weak link on both sides in this game: washington’s defense. and it’s the worst in the NFL. they dont have a prayer in stopping NY’s offence.

while it is pretty cool seeing a QB put up rushing yards like that….

it’s also pretty crazy how many of you guys are thumbs upping RG3 running every play..

and thumbs downing the realists that know doing the sport movie fantasy stuff never wins the Ring…. ever……….

Some would say it’s pretty crazy how many people thumbs up the idea that Robert Griffin runs every play, when clearly that just means they have not actually seen him play yet.

I’m sure everybody already knows that the guy who “runs every play”/”is only a running quarterback”/etc. is 3rd in the league in quarterback rating and leads the league in completion percentage, so I won’t bother repeating it here.

So far this year Griffin has passed 161 times and rushed 55 times. I can’t tell you how many of those were designed runs and how many were simply playmaking opportunism, but I can give you the breakdown for the Minnesota game, which seems to have been the adrenaline needle to the chest of the We Hate Griffin movement.

In the Minnesota game Griffin rushed 13 times. Two of those were designed runs, meaning that the other eleven were broken passing plays. Griffin had a choice, either to run for a couple yards or throw the ball out of bounds.

What’s confusing is why it is so offensive to some people that Griffin is capable of running for those yards. If Tom, or Peyton, or Eli had his athleticism they would do exactly the same thing, it’s simply the smart play for a quarterback to make.

I want to wrap things up, but basically what’s totally ridiculous is the “damned if you, damned if you don’t” paradox Griffin haters have him trapped in.

If he runs, he’s doing “sports movie fantasy stuff” and will never be an effective quarterback and is ruining football.

If, instead of running, he tries to force passes into triple coverage; takes the sack; or throws the ball away; he’s soft, a bad decision maker, and a bad quarterback.

If he makes himself into a pure pocket passer, Shanahan is not playing to Griffin’s strengths; Donovan McNabb is proven right (I don’t think anybody wants to see that happen); and Shanahan is a bad coach and Griffin was a waste of draft picks.

Can someone please enlighten the world as to whether there’s any scenario in which Griffin can avoid being the worst thing that’s ever happened to professional football? Because looking at things from your perspective I just don’t see it.

I’m sure your football knowledge is far superior to that of people like Jon Gruden, John Madden, and many other pro coaches who would strongly disagree with you. They say that he is redefining the position for the future of what the professional QB will become. And, if you’d rather not have a guy who can stand in the pocket and complete 70% of his passes while still being a threat to outrun everyone to the end zone, then I’d say you are in the minority.

Quit watching just highlight reels and watch a full Redskins game with Griffin at QB. You’ll see his leadership, poise, confidence in running the offense, his accurate passing, and oh, by the way, his world class speed. He is not merely a running QB, but he is a complete NFL QB who just happens to be also a very gifted runner.

Congrats on beating the champions twice last year. RGIII looks like a nice player. Giants/skins games have lost some luster due to the skins stinking up the joint for a while. Welcome back.

RGIII isn’t just fast…he has Olympic, world class speed at a position where he has the ball on every play. Only a handful of teams have the team speed on defense to keep RGIII in check and the Giants ain’t one of them.

And RGIII doesn’t throw that many screens, mainly slants, 10 or 12 yard in and out routes and of course the big shots down field.

Kinda like when Rolle said after week one last season that the giants would beat the skins 99 out of 100 times then went out and got smacked around a second time by rex freaking grossman? They really backed that up didnt they? At the end of the day neither teams fan base should be predicting a blow out and as a skins fan i have no issue with JPP saying what he said. He has earned the right to talk and if the skins want to shut him up they can go it on sunday.

I love how he’s only talking about RG3… What about Alfred Morris? He has been the 2nd best rookie RB this season and if the Giants fall asleep on him, it’s going to be a long day for the Giants

They will contain Morris. That’s the least of their concerns. SF has an infinitely better offensive line and Frank Gore, tons of injuries later and all, is better than Morris. They shut him down.

2) Sweep put you at No. 5 in the draft instead of #2. Had we swept you like we’ve done a million times prior, you’d wouldn’t have had to trade your next 10 drafts to move up. Enjoy throwing to Pierre’s time capsule (errr, inflamed foot capsule) the next 3 years instead of a bona fide No. 1 for RGIII to grow with.

3) You gave Coughlin something to rally the troops around. That’s bad news for you. Ask SF.

It’s a good thing that the Giants are as good as they are with doing fake injuries in order to slow down the opposing offense. Maybe, JPP, after either RG3 or Morris run past you, you can pretend to pull a muscle yourself so that you can prevent the next play from occurring so quickly after the last one.
