Getty ImagesThe Panthers offense is going to have to get better in a hurry, as two of their top defensive players are expected to miss Sunday’s game against the Cowboys.
They’ve already listed cornerback Chris Gamble (shoulder) as out, and linebacker Jon Beason (knee) as doubtful.
But Panthers coach Ron Rivera said Beason was “very doubtful.”
That should make the Luke Kuechly-or-Beason in the middle debate moot for another week, and frankly, even when Beason’s well there’s a solid argument Kuechly’s better inside.
For the Panthers to have a chance against the Cowboys, they’re going to have to turn it around offensively, where they looked capable against the Saints and Falcons, but lost the rest of the year.

Don’t think they will miss Beason much but Gamble out could be a factor in the game with Dallas Sunday.
Has Jon Beason ever been healthy?
Unfortunatly I’m beginning to think that Beason will never be the player he once was. He was a BEAST in his prime though. Get well soon Jon. We still need you.
one can argue that Gamble is the best player on Carolina’s defense… Very, very underrated player.
I have Romo in fantasy…. lucky me!
@ pilot2011…there is no way Gamble is the best player on the Panther’s D. Maybe you could say that about him 3-4 years ago but, not at all the last 2 seasons.
Beason is the 5.2 version of Dan Morgan it seems.
