I love the idiots and the “horse teeth” comments. Are you guys drinking a juice box while you type? I guess when you’re watching a rookie dominate the league while your team has a guy like Ponder or Vick, etc. you struggle to find ways to vent your frustration.

--------------------------

Really bro? You're going to put Ponder in that sentence? He's improved a lot, so I don't know why you're lashing out. RGIII is talented, but he's the only player on your team. Good luck winning with no draft picks the next 3 years. Win 3 games and this is what Skins fans start doing?

Packer Fans…..opinions? I’m sure you will bless us all with great, smug comments per usual.

Let it go already. The entire nation sided with Green Bay because it does not get any more obvious than that (unless you are a Seattle idiot. Additionally most agree with the 49ers assessment of the Seahawks corners as well.

Example "B" of Packer fan nation. contrasuxbalz, what does this comment have to do with Harrison Smith, his fine, the Vikings or anything discussed? Who cares about the Packer-Seahawk game outside of Sconi? Why did you even post this comment?

I think the Redskins broke into the Naval academy and stole the playbook. Next year the Redskins will be irrelevant again cause that offense will only work for a couple of weeks. The Vikings did not stop it when they needed to, they were not prepared to see a college offense on gameday in the NFL.
_____
The Redskins gameplan and the Vikings gameplan both featured two designed wildcat runs, just because Griffin can scramble for a couple yards rather than take a sack or throw the ball out of bounds on a broken passing play doesn't make it a college offense, it just means they have a talented scrambling quarterback, like Young, Tarkenton, Montana, or Archie Manning.

What Smith should have done is hit him hard-to show him he is gonna get creamed if he keeps running the ball-but I’m sure he would’ve gotten fined for that too.

Yeah, because I am sure that Smith set out to NOT hit him hard. I know you are salty about giving up a 76 YARD TD to a quarterback, but you need to let it go.

open palm on rg3s back that was a phenomenal tackle not a horse collar. I was shocked it got a flag let alone this bs
_______
"a phenomenal tackle"? There's no clearer way to say "I didn't see the game, but here's my opinion anyway."

Leaving the whole issue of whether his hand was inside Griffin's shoulderpads/jersey (it clearly was); Griffin was running out bounds, on a first down, when the horse collar occurred, which makes it not so much "phenomenal" as "pointless and stupid".

If Griffin had been one step ahead of where he actually was, he would have been out of bounds and Smith would have gotten the horse-collar and an unnecessary roughness. Good player, dumb play: these things happen. Not a big deal in the long run, or even in the course of that game.

Right because there aren't tons of hits on Griffin. Most are legal and are not flagged or fined. Including the hit that gave Griffin the concussion. I'd say that was a hard hit, would you?

$15,750 is the standard fine for all Horse collar tackles this year.
The flag was thrown, so the fine was imposed.
Move along, nothing to see here…
unless you want some cheese with your wine.

Give Smith credit, at least he made the tackle. The rest of his teammates would have done well to try to emulate him sometime during the game.

Where was the vaunted Vikings defense we have been reading so much about? MIA

Stop with the fines already. They should be used for the blatantly intentional and dangerous plays and not inadvertent violations. It's sad that almost every personal foul gets a fine also. That is likely because a bunch of players do not care at all about the yardage/down impact on their respective teams. The only way they get the message is if they lose money or games. Start suspending the really bad offenders instead and fine the teams. Eventually some of these clowns will get it and there won't be a need to fine someone for an inadvertent or honest mistake that had no malicious intent.

@ rgledz

3-3

And that is with a rookie QB and every loss by a TD or less. Yeah the Skins are not SB material this year, but they sure are competitive in rebuilding year 3 with a lot of talented young players getting valuable experience.

Prime example besides Griffin is Trent Williams. Shut down Jared Allen last week and has played great do far this season. Alfred Morris is another. So is Ryan Jerrigan and Perry Riley.

A lot of exciting young talent in the Skins organization. Good time to be a Skins fan.

Oh yeah, what team is your favorite? How are they doing this year? Bet I could guess, but....

All last week, with the daily story about RG3's concussion, we had Vikes fans coming on to every story to talk about Smith taking out Griffin on sunday. The only time he touched Griffin was the obvious HorseCollar tackle.

Also, do not talk to any Skins fan about fines being fair or unfair. Our team got bent over by Roger Goodell and his lover John Mara for not following an unwritten rule, during a period with no salary cap.

Oh, to answer rgledz's question. We are 3-3. And we are pretty excited about our team. It is obvious that people like you are pretty nervous about us. You can't go a day without trying to convince anyone who will listen to you that Griffin is not that good. Well, whatever makes you sleep at night.

Agreed. Anyone who disagrees with that either didn't see the play or doesn't know what a horse-collar tackle means.

So touching a player's pads from behind is now a penalty and fine worthy offense??

Because Smith didn't pull him down backwards by his jersey, he pulled him over frontwards.

Or is it that he made a good tackle on a hyped up player, and that is really the mistake he made?
