Another thing that bothered me was 4th and goal on the 2 an we kick a field goal …then same quarter the skins are 4th 1 or 2 on the 40 an go for it … Sometimes u gotta take chances … Worst case u give them the ball on there own 2yd line ..and as its been stated AP & P.Harvin are on the sideline …it just feels real B.Childerss-ish lol

I have a bigger issue with AP not being on the field for 70% of the plays in the Red Zone last week. I’m not saying you have to give it to him every time, but his blocking and pass catching have improved drastically, he needs to be on the field to keep the D honest.

Musgrave’s use of Harvin is just fine other than maybe red-zone usage. With no other decent WR’s, AP coming off ACL surgery, a second year QB and a rebuilt O-line, to expect more from the O-coordinator would be about as stupid as the comments made by tokoyosandpounder (whose Super Bowl projected team is only .500 six games into the season).

Musgrave is the problem. Frazier is a defensive coach, so I think he leaves the offense to Musgrave, which is a bad decision. For once I wish the Vikes would hire the great OC that made a bad Head Coach but a great OC, instead of these “next great coach” guys that don’t pan out. But I suppose those r cheaper, maybe that’s why. but play calling was terrible last week. I have an idea, its 3rd and 4 in the redone, lets hand it to Tobby, STUPID idea. figure it out Musgrave.

They look great when they execute their gameplan. The problem I see with the coaching is that they are worried too much about the other team’s plan and lose sight of what they should be doing. Instead of making the other team adapt, they are always the ones outthinking themselves.

They’ll shore this up. I like what the vikings are doing and I think they’ll continue to grow as they move forward. I like how Ponder just doesn’t quit. It says a lot about him!

It’s very clear Musgrave and Frazier have little to no ability to run an NFL offense. It’s like there’s a different play-caller every week.

Heck, Frazier didn’t even realize what a weapon Harvin was, benching him for something crazy like 45% of the offensive snap last year, until coaches at the senior bowl told him how dangerous Harvin was.

While they’re heading in the right direction with personnel, the coaching has left a lot to be desired.
