APWith injuries mounting and center Maurkice Pouncey questionable for Sunday’s game against the Bengals, the Steelers made a roster move Saturday.
The team announced they promoted offensive lineman John Malecki to the active roster, releasing defensive lineman Corbin Bryant to make room.
Malecki, a University of Pittsburgh product, has been on their practice squad parts of the last two seasons, after going to camp with the Titans as an undrafted rookie in 2010.
Pouncey has been optimistic about his chances of playing despite his knee injury, but the Steelers are also without tackle Marcus Gilbert, knocking them down to six other healthy bodies prior to the transaction.

Good grief. Maybe they should start handing out questionnaires at the gate asking ticketholders if anyone has line experience.
Where did Chris Kemouato go… or however you spell his name.
Why am I not allowed to tell jameskucinski where Chris Kemoeatu went? Is it a secret?
Roethlisberger don’t need a line.
This team is in shambles.
If it weren’t for Gilbert, all the injured linemen would be healthy plus David Johnson.
This mentally deranged Ratbird loving Ravenator character has to be the biggest joke online. Constantly posting nonsense nobody cares about anyway. What a retard. You should worry about your own team, Gayvenator, especially with a bozo QB like Joe Flaccid!
I hope this dude is ready to play.
