APThe Chargers are off this week, but their P.R. staff is working.
In response to the report from FOX’s Jay Glazer that the league is investigating the Chargers for using a banned substance known loosely as “stickum” during the Monday night loss to the Broncos, the Chargers have issued a statement.
Wisely, the team has not asked the NFL to take a “Chill Pill.”
“We are aware of the inquiry and are cooperating fully with the League,” the team said.
Cooperation is critical, as the Saints have learned the hard way. A bad situation only gets worse is there’s any lying or covering up involved.

Chargers are in a sticky situation.
The bad news just doesn’t stop for the Chargers.
Obviously Rivers forgot to get in on that act Monday Night
This story has nothing to do with the Saints.
Will it be more or less cooperation than they gave the Broncos in aiding their comeback efforts?
Stickumgate.
Time to put an asterisk* on the Chargers’ championships. They are now tainted with stickum.
They must’ve stopped using it at half time…
Do they have a choice other than to “fully cooperate”?
Everyone makes mistakes and poor decisions at some point. Glad they are man enough to cooperate with the league. Used to be a fan of the Saints but now I have nothing but disgust for them.
Rivers needs some more of that. Slap some on his center’s tailpad for plenty of reload power.
Suspend Norv Turner and at least two starters for the season immediately
Yeah, Stickum really isn’t that effective when your QB is as erratic as Philip Rivers
As punishment SD should be forced to keep Norv as coach for another year
Coach should be suspended for a year, WR Coach should be banned indefinitely, any WR’s who used the substance should be suspended, team should be fined $500,000 and the Chargers should forfeit two second round draft choices.
The rule against using sticky substances has been well known for many years and is not a grey area.
I really hope you stick with this story….I will be glued to my twitter feed….

Ah..if Payton, Loomis and Vitt cooperated with the NFL in the bounty thing, that whole mess wouldn’t happen.
@westclaims, if you don’t see a connection (as stated in this article) between the Chargers actually cooperating with NFL and the Saints choosing to do the opposite in relation to “bountygate,” you are clearly an idiot.

I am quite sure Bolts fans would support suspending Norv Turner-would be beneficial for the team!

I can speak for the whole of who dat nation in saying you aren’t missed as a ‘fan’.
They use stickum and they still suck so bad? Too funny.
I guess the chargers forgot to “stick” with the game plan in the 2nd half.

I should think not. I have principals.
At least when my Patriots cheat they are actually good as a result of it

Right “championship”, I’m sure most Chargers fan believe they have a bunch of phantom championships.
I wonder if the Aints fans are going to come to the defense of SD, since Goddell is now out to ruin both the Aints and SD. The difference will be the SD players will be man enough to admit the wrong doing and not try and act like they are not guilty.
Must’ve changed gloves during the second haf
championship and chargers in the same sentence? I must have missed something.
Embarrassed to be a Choker, I mean Cheater, I mean Charger fan. The only good that can come out of this will be the end of A.J. and Norv.
They should ask for a refund since it was obviously defective.
Are we investigating what hair care product Norv uses? lol, only the Chargers.
Stay classy, Chargers, stay classy.
make them keep norv and move to L.A.
sounds like a fair punishment
