Dallas center Phil Costa was just carted off the field with an ugly right leg injury, when he was blocked low on a fumble return.
Panthers coach Ron Rivera was waving trainers over the Costa after he went down, following a Miles Austin fumble. Panthers safety Charles Godfrey was flagged for a personal foul on the play.
Costa missed time early with a back injury, but his return coincided with the Cowboys line playing better.
UPDATE 2:38 p.m. ET: Costa will not return with what was announced as a right ankle injury.
