@ballboy48 If you honestly think Weeden has played better than Luck and RGIII, please go to your nearest mental health institution and check yourself in. Luck (mind you hes already had his bye)- 1674 passing yards, 10 tds (7 pass 3 rush) 7 ints on 134 of 250 attempts. RGIII (again mind you, he was knocked out of a game in the 2nd quater)- 1601 passing yards, 13 tds (7 pass 6 rush) 3 ints on 133 of 189 attempts. Weeden- 1783 passing yards, 9 tds to 10 ints on 154 on 272 attempts. So yeah more passing yards and passing touchdowns, but it took him an extra game on Luck to compile 100 more yards than him and took 100 more attempts on Griffin III to get 183 more yards. Weeden is playing good, but to say he’s playing better than Luck and Griffin is insane.

--------------------------------------------------

Actually you're not factoring in that Weeden's stats includes a week one game in which he threw 4 interceptions and had a 5.1 QB rating (thus your extra game logic does not have merit). Eliminate that game and Weedens numbers are the same minus 4 interceptions and 118 yards so his passer rating would actually go up to 83.4 (which is higher than Luck's) and would still have more passing yards than RGIII.

I'm not a Weeden fan but facts are facts. It's only their rookie year so I'm not going to call him a future hall of famer but as far as being a pure passer goes he has played better than Luck and RGIII at this point in their respective careers and has done it with a lot less talent around him.

As I sit and watch a Browns game I think to myself “why is T-Rich not getting the ball as much as he should be?” Then the camera cuts to the OC both and there is Brad Childress!!! There’s your answer! Brad only like to give AP the ball 12-15 times a game. Brad Childress you are a fool!

Ummm, I'm thinking half of you didn't watch the game. Weeden has played better than any of the rookie QB's thus far. Since his disastrous first game, he has almost 1,600 yards, 9 Td's, 6 ints! Believe it or not, thru the first 6 weeks, he was second in NFL History, for the most passing yards as a rookie!

Trent Richardson is going to be a beast, he just has to hit the holes harder and stop stutter stepping! Holes close much faster in the NFL, than in NCAA!

Holmgren inherited one of the oldest, slowest, least talented teams in the leauge from Mangini – who was run out of the league – as he should have been, while Holmgren will be a HOF’er. Bank on it.

I appreciate your defense of Holmgren as I too believe he doesn't get enough credit for what he's done but you do realize Holmgren didn't draft anyone (other than being responsible for the Colt McCoy pick in 2010) and no one inherited anyone from Mangini as the chore players that Mangini had in his first and only Holmgren less season were leftovers from the previous coach and front office.

Agree with you about Shurmur, but you'll be proven dead wrong about Holmgren. The players he drafted and they are developing last year and this, will be the nucleus of a winning team in 2013 and for several years beyond. New owner Haslam know this and will stick with those players.

It was really more of a combination of the defense keying in on him but the coach having him run anyway, and him playing like he was obviously hurt. TRich isn't going to admit he's hurt, but he's looked really bad since the rib injury the previous week. Hardesty has played very well the last two weeks, it was stupid not to go to him earlier. It doesn't matter though, they refused to run the ball anyway.

Do you hear this McCarthy. You bench losers who aren't cutting it. Findley was good three seasons ago. He sucks now but he is Mac's buddy so he plays.

The Pack may have won today but man, there is more deadwood on this team than in the forest.

I still say its the least conditioned team in the league. There injuries are never ending.

I watched this game and agree with Kerr. Trent didn't look good. He also didn't seem to be as comfortable with pass blocking as Montario.

Also, rookie QBs should get as much action as possible. Rookie RBs can benefit from an early season time share as they pick up protection and adjust to the pro game (ie... don't get injured a la Matthews).

If you watched the game, Richardson was INeffective. He was tip toeing laterally behingd the line instead of turning the ball up the field. Was very indecisive. He needed to get the ball, make a cut, and go. He just wasn't doing it. Shurmur made the right call to go to Hardesty. But, why not look at the overhead film I'm sure they have and talk to T-Rich during the game. In game adjustments/coaching needed.

As a vikings fan this really shouldn't surprise but it does. Brad Chilldress is the freakin OC though and his favorite thing to do in minnesota as head coach was to take his best players out of the game when he needed them most.
