Vilma won’t start, Saints eye 20 to 30 snaps

Jonathan Vilma will play, but he won’t start for the Saints today, but he will play.

The Saints announced that Will Herring would start for the inactive David Hawthorne, and ESPN’s Ed Werder reported the Saints wanted to get Vilma 20 to 30 snaps.

While Vilma’s return will provide an emotional boost, it will be curious to see where he is from a physical standpoint, and how much of an impact he’s ready to make.
