APThe Jaguars train has rolled right over Maurice Jones-Drew’s foot.
The 2011 NFL rushing champ will miss the Week Eight game at Lambeau Field against the Packers with a foot injury suffered Sunday against the Raiders. Coach Mike Mularkey informed the media on Monday of Jones-Drew’s status.
The fact that Jones-Drew was so quickly scratched from Sunday’s game suggests that it could be a multi-game absence. Mularkey provided no further details on Jones-Drew’s condition or prognosis.

He looks shorter on crutches.
Hopefully the Packers will be able to win this game more dominantly than yesterday.
They have been playing to the competition that they have played.
It stinks that MJD is out, he is a player I don’t get to see much of thanks to lack of primetime/competitive games. They aren’t shown in my area.
Well buddy. Looks like you definitely won’t be getting paid anytime soon.
I’m afraid MJD may be the victim of the ol’ Lisfranc injury. If this is the case he will be shelved for the season. Lets hope it’s not season ending but it’s never a good sign when a guy comes back to the sidelines in his street clothes, wearing a walking boot and hobbling around on crutches. I’m sure the Jags will call this injury as a week to week thing, just so they don’t have to play their hand upfront. The Raiders did it with Darren McFadden last season. I hope his foot injury is not to serious, cause MJD is one of the backs I enjoy watching carry the rock on Sundays.
I wonder if he drops himself from his fantasy football team?
Should have held out for that new contract kid.
That’s too bad. We want teams to be at full strength when we beat them.
Remember, Carl Gerbilshidt, this one’s on you now. Pop in next week at this time.
My conservative estimate of 51-3 has now become a conservative estimate of 51 to -3.
Well, Jags fans. Look at the bright side, your GM has possibly the best mustache in football.
“Well, Jags fans. Look at the bright side, your GM has possibly the best mustache in football.”
…that would be the owner. The GM is clean-shaven.
Looks like it is time to evaluate Geno Smith vs Matt Barkley for the Jags.Looking like another top 5 pick again !
Jay Cutler says he’s a quitter.
Can’t believe Jay Cutler’s taking potshots at him on Twitter for not playing.
Oh, wait…
Jags 17 Packers 86
This is prob bad news, when the team hides or just doesn’t give details it is never good.
Jags 17 Packers 86
i dont think the jags can score 17
this works out perfect for the jags! MJD out for a year and saves some miles on those legs..you get matt barkely next yeat…you got an ELITE RB and some weapons at WR and a big TE.. then you use the rest of your picks fixing up that so called “D” ..GO JAGS!!
Wait a second, I thought they had Blaine Gabbert. Now they want Matt Barkley?

_______
You didn’t want San Francisco, Seattle, and Indianapolis to be at full strength.

Now that’s what I call commitment to a bit.
MJD should have continued holding out.
