Lions add CB depth in advance of tonight’s game

The Lions added some short-term cover at cornerback for tonight’s game against the Bears, signing veteran Justin Miller, according to the team’s official website.

Miller was in training camp with the Lions, but was released in final cuts.

They needed an extra body with Jacob Lacey (concussion) already ruled out and Bill Bentley (shoulder) doubtful.

They’ll also be playing Alphonso Smith, who was signed this week after a workout.

To make room for Miller on the roster, the Lions waived linebacker Doug Hogue, a special teamer.

Scraps, scraps and more scraps. If the Lions want to compete at a high level they are going to have to invest in some quality backs!

Why not pick over the late cuts from the teams that have good CB’s already? You would think that there is more talented CB’s cut from other teams…….
