The Lions added some short-term cover at cornerback for tonight’s game against the Bears, signing veteran Justin Miller, according to the team’s official website.
Miller was in training camp with the Lions, but was released in final cuts.
They needed an extra body with Jacob Lacey (concussion) already ruled out and Bill Bentley (shoulder) doubtful.
They’ll also be playing Alphonso Smith, who was signed this week after a workout.
To make room for Miller on the roster, the Lions waived linebacker Doug Hogue, a special teamer.
