No changes on the Eagles offensive line

The Eagles promised to evaluate everything during their bye week and it seems their evaluations found that it was best to keep their offensive line intact.

Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports that several players said Monday that the offensive line lined up with the same five starters that they had before the team went on their bye. Center Dallas Reynolds was one of those players and he said that he’s still in the starting lineup.

“As far as I know,” Reynolds said. “Until they come and say otherwise, yeah.”

With Jason Peters and Jason Kelce out, it’s not like the Eagles have too many options for changes on a line that has given up 17 sacks in the first six games. They could swap King Dunlap back in for Demetress Bell at left tackle or insert Steve Vallos at guard, but there’s no obvious change to make in hopes of increased production.

McLane also reports that Peters, who is recovering from an Achilles injury, was running half-speed doing agility drills on Monday. The team has three weeks to decide whether or not to activate Peters from the non-football injury list, a move that would allow him to play before the end of the season.
