That says it all. Had Mo Lewis not knocked out Drew Bledsoe, Brady wouldnt have came in and played….but they have set the tone for the AFC East and football, with Brady OWNING Pittsburgh and Indianapolis.

Since SpyGate, they havent won Super Bowls, with Eli Manning getting key plays to win.

No one fears them, nor should they, since usually defensive teams garner that kind of deal – once Pats get defensive, then a ring is within reach.

They beat a bunch of teams that finished 8-7 not including their loss to the Pats. Why penalize the Pats for beating them. And the broncos were technically 9-7 without their 2 losses to the Pats. So yeah they really beat a bunch of winning teams last year.

Usually, watching a Pats game was like watching a surgeon dissect his patient many many different ways…You always knew the patient was headed to the coroner for an autopsy.

Nowadays, every bloody team approaches the Pats team with gusto, with hook or crook. Also, our stalwarts are not so young anymore, with youngins from other teams stepping up.

To win games, Brady just has to be good, but to win the SB, the defence has to step up. This ground and pound philosophy of other teams is what wins that final game. Obviously, Beli knows this, and it is why, for yesterday’s game, we won when the defence was on the field. Makes me a nervous filly though…

His style and schemes are slowly but surely going out of style. People used to follow the trends the Pats used to set. Now they can’t even win the big game any more. They’re being outplayed and outcoached. He’s no longer the defensive genius he once was.

They keep rotating personnel. But, teams are getting better around him. They were horrific in the secondary last year. They have show only a little improvement since then. They’re still getting torched by subpar QB’s.

If you really are going to claim that Belichick’s system is failing and lacks any creativity, then how in the world has he managed to win the AFC East every season since 2009? And if Belichick really did find himself on the hot seat, then what coach do you really count as safe in his job? Certainly not Mike Tomlin, since “only” won a Super Bowl four years ago and has “only” one division title since. Definitely not Sean Payton either, since he won a Super Bowl a whopping three years ago and has been suspended for the entire 2012 season. Good lord, John Harbaugh better get his resume together since he only has a single division title to his name and a measly two appearances in the AFC Championship Game!

Hasn’t been any harder… the Patriots won 2 AFC titles in that time and were in two close Super Bowls… That’s better than most teams.

As a Pats fan, can I say it?

Shut up, Brady.

Fans know its hard to win. We do appreciate the hard work, the intricate planning, the incredible athleticism that football requires.

However, that does not mean we don’t also see the lack of putting fundamental football practice into play, the poor play calling, the lack of focus, the lack of consistency, and on occasion, the lack of mental toughness from this team. And when we see it, we will comment on it and expect the team to respond.

Just do your job, Brady, and the fans will respond.

I think you are wrong there… They have a winning record, they are in the lead in the division and they are 4-1 in the AFC.

In the early Brady years, that would have been seen as a good start to the season. For almost any other team in the league that would be seen as a good start to the season. The fans are spoiled. The fans expect 12-4 or better and a bye. That’s what I have come to expect too. It’s time to reset and appreciate what we have. There are no great teams in the league right now and the Patriots have been very competitive in every game. They can stop the run and run the ball. They have a good chance to be there at the end of the season.

The Patriots record is 34-10 with an AFC Championship over the past 2+ years. All while turning over the majority of their roster and this year fielding the youngest team BB has ever led.

Not bad for a rebuilding phase. Their record during this period would be glory days for most NFL franchises.

Somehow I don’t think BB’s seat is even slightly warm.

I don’t live in New England any longer so I can’t imagine what it’s like every day following the team, those people can be pretty suffocating.

That said I grew up during the bad times and appreciate every win, TB & BB have done enough for me as a football fan that regardless of how this year or the next few years play out I’ll miss them both very much when they eventually hang it up.

If you’re a true Patriots fan, just enjoy our team being good and relevant because it won’t last forever, nothing does in sports.

As for Brady and the Patriots offense, here’s the reality: Brady’s offense is # 1 in points scored, # 1 in yards per game, and # 1 in first downs per game.

Brady wasn’t issuing a proclamation, he was answering an interviewer’s question. His point is valid. Winning any game in the NFL is tough; winning games against division rivals is tougher.
