I respect NE, but BB and NE seems to be losing it as the team ages. TE isn't the most important position in football, and no decent defense should be afraid of anyone not named Welker, Hernandez or Gronk catching the ball.

BB needs to get back to basics, build that O-line, trade for Bowe and stop calling soft plays up 13.

Patriot fan is the very definition of spoiled. They are smug and their sense of entitlement is a joke. Once william and brady head out to pasture, the ride will be over and the ‘fans’ will begin to jump ship.

Patriots= a franchise seeded on a bogus call (tuck rule) and rooted in cheating (spygate). Thank you Eli for ripping their hearts out TWICE! It’s the least they deserved.

Go RAIDERS

------------------

That says it all. Had Mo Lewis not knocked out Drew Bledsoe, Brady wouldnt have came in and played....but they have set the tone for the AFC East and football, with Brady OWNING Pittsburgh and Indianapolis.

Since SpyGate, they havent won Super Bowls, with Eli Manning getting key plays to win.

No one fears them, nor should they, since usually defensive teams garner that kind of deal - once Pats get defensive, then a ring is within reach.

This years team reminds me of the 09 team at this point. Talented, hanging around vs teams but not dominating, yet to gel, and mistake prone. Like the 09 team they also have a decision to make about how good they want to be in the second half of the season. I think they'll make a better choice, I think they're hungrier, and made up of determined veterans and young guys who are getting better as they go.
I think they'll win December, and most of November, and All of the playoffs.
That being said, Brady is not playing at a level to criticise anybody. He's mistake prone, and looks nervous. I've said for years he made Light look good and he's proving me wrong. He is not now this teams leader, and he flips out more when he screws up than when the rest of the offense does. They're not built for the 07 shock and awe stuff and he and Mcdaniels need to acknowledge that. Lloyd aint Randy. Conversely the tight ends aint perrenial balldroppers watson and Gaffney. Flood the damn short ball andthen take shots when youre up. When you want to drag D's deep use McCourty as a receiver opposite Lloyd. He can Move! He cant drop more passes than Lloyd(who will play great this week).
Anyway just venting. The young D will gel, and if theyre willing to run the ball theyll win championships.

"Maybe Brady/Pats fans/the media do not realise they beat one team with a winning record lasy year."

Popularly quoted but misleading stat.

They beat a bunch of teams that finished 8-7 not including their loss to the Pats. Why penalize the Pats for beating them. And the broncos were technically 9-7 without their 2 losses to the Pats. So yeah they really beat a bunch of winning teams last year.

For you people who think Belichik was the only Coach filming other teams, you need to wake up; all the teams were doing it. The Patriots were clearly the best team in the league that year. They penalized the Pats hard and fined the Coach; then they went 18-0 destroying virtually every opponent in their path that year until the Superbowl, where they were called for a penalty every time they ran a good play, while Giants' penalties were ignored. Even then, the Giants needed a horseshoe up their butts to win in the last seconds. The Pats were cheated terribly in the AFC Championship game vs the Colts as well; phantom calls at critical times. They were so frighteningly good the first six years of Brady's career they would have ruined the league by winning 5 Super Bowls in 6 years had the league not made sure they got slowed down. Don't ever think this stuff is all on the level, folks; that's not how the world works.

Hate to admit it, I like being spoiled.

Usually, watching a Pats game was like watching a surgeon dissect his patient many many different ways...You always knew the patient was headed to the coroner for an autopsy.

Nowadays, every bloody team approaches the Pats team with gusto, with hook or crook. Also, our stalwarts are not so young anymore, with youngins from other teams stepping up.

To win games, Brady just has to be good, but to win the SB, the defence has to step up. This ground and pound philosophy of other teams is what wins that final game. Obviously, Beli knows this, and it is why, for yesterday's game, we won when the defence was on the field. Makes me a nervous filly though...

Amazing what happens when you can’t cheat your way to SB’s.

How many have they won since that was discovered?

That must never be forgotten.

Tom Brady, you are genius when making remarks like that, you really believe that the Patriot's have spoiled their fans by having such domination over the last decade or so, really. Well, just like the players, the owners and the New England fan base - ya'll a bunch of nannies, whining about "it's hard to win and when you accustom folks to winning every year, you create the worse fan ever (regardless) of the professional sport played. Bellick's coaching magic and your talent will eventually fade and Patriot's fans return to the Patriots of yesteryear.

How many have they won since that was discovered?

That must never be forgotten.

Seems like Patriot fans are learning the lesson Colts fans learned in a brutal fashion; even one of the best of all time has trouble getting it done when there is no team in place around him.

Sorry but that's not an accurate statement

The offense is ranked #1
The front 7 is in the top 10 vs the run.

The only problem with the team is the up and down play (more down than up) of the secondary.

Chill Guy. I honestly asked…”How long before BB is on the hot seat?”

It’s an honest question.

His style and schemes are slowly but surely going out of style. People used to follow the trends the Pats used to set. Now they can’t even win the big game any more. They’re being outplayed and outcoached. He’s no longer the defensive genius he once was.

They keep rotating personnel. But, teams are getting better around him. They were horrific in the secondary last year. They have show only a little improvement since then. They’re still getting torched by subpar QB’s.

-------------------------------------------------

You want an honest answer? The answer is "six months from never."

If you really are going to claim that Belichick's system is failing and lacks any creativity, then how in the world has he managed to win the AFC East every season since 2009? And if Belichick really did find himself on the hot seat, then what coach do you really count as safe in his job? Certainly not Mike Tomlin, since "only" won a Super Bowl four years ago and has "only" one division title since. Definitely not Sean Payton either, since he won a Super Bowl a whopping three years ago and has been suspended for the entire 2012 season. Good lord, John Harbaugh better get his resume together since he only has a single division title to his name and a measly two appearances in the AFC Championship Game!

As a Pats fan, can I say it?

Shut up, Brady.

Fans know its hard to win. We do appreciate the hard work, the intricate planning, the incredible athleticism that football requires.

However, that does not mean we don’t also see the lack of putting fundamental football practice into play, the poor play calling, the lack of focus, the lack of consistency, and on occasion, the lack of mental toughness from this team. And when we see it, we will comment on it and expect the team to respond.

Just do your job, Brady, and the fans will respond.

-------------------------

I think you are wrong there... They have a winning record, they are in the lead in the division and they are 4-1 in the AFC.

In the early Brady years, that would have been seen as a good start to the season. For almost any other team in the league that would be seen as a good start to the season. The fans are spoiled. The fans expect 12-4 or better and a bye. That's what I have come to expect too. It's time to reset and appreciate what we have. There are no great teams in the league right now and the Patriots have been very competitive in every game. They can stop the run and run the ball. They have a good chance to be there at the end of the season.

Chill Guy. I honestly asked…”How long before BB is on the hot seat?”

It’s an honest question.
----------------------------------------------------
The Patriots record is 34-10 with an AFC Championship over the past 2+ years. All while turning over the majority of their roster and this year fielding the youngest team BB has ever led.

Not bad for a rebuilding phase. Their record during this period would be glory days for most NFL franchises.

Somehow I don't think BB's seat is even slightly warm.

That said I grew up during the bad times and appreciate every win, TB & BB have done enough for me as a football fan that regardless of how this year or the next few years play out I'll miss them both very much when they eventually hang it up.
