If they’re going to put 220 mil into Ralph Wilson Stadium why not explore options for a new stadium. I think a 1.4 billion dollar metroplex is absurd. Detroit built Ford field for half that. Browns, Steelers, Bengals built fields for about 1/4 of that.

For those of you hating on the Bills’ fanbase, let’s see how excited you would be to buy tickets to a December game when the team hasn’t been in the playoff for 12 years and doesn’t look to be changing that trend this season. It’s really easy to be a fan of a winning team, it honestly takes guts to be a fan of this team.

If they would just win some games all this noise would stop. Seems so simple…

Nobody in Buffalo knows. That’s why I think team might move? Also why would Ralph Wilson take a home game away frim Buffalo fans & have a game in Toronto?

As for politicians in Buffalo they should worry about the rif raf in the East Side of Buffalo destroying neighborhoods!

I love the Bills current stadium. What kind of venue does one need to watch football? I am on my feet all game in the rock pile. A new stadium is second to the problems on the field. If the Bills leave it would probably just start a carousel like LA, St. Louis, Oakland, etc. in the north east. Canada isn’t the answer for the NFL regarding the Buffalo Bills. It might be an answer for expansion though.

Bills fans trying to defend their is a joke. That stadium does not always sell out. That game against the Patriots at least a third of that stadium was patriots fans. All the bills fans left in the 4th quarter and a ton of patriots fans where still in there. Probably one of the few times the stadium does sell out is when the pats come.

If a new stadium is built, it should be in a more suburban/rural area towards Batavia/Rochester making it easier for traffic flow both in and out of Buffalo as well as from the other half of their fan base.

Downtown Buffalo is actually a very nice metropolitan area, but it is true, there really is not sufficient road infrastructure to handle traffic in and out of it.

It would be a nightmare….

Bills are the only team in NYS and are not going to move.

LA does not deserve a team. They had two and lost them both.

Bills fans could soon be wishing the team DID move to Toronto.

L.A. is a hell of a lot further away.

That said, if Wilson signs them into a long-term extension at the current stadium, the team is in relatively good shape. Leases can always be bought out, but whoever the new owner is would have to think twice about breaking it.

However, the real question is whether the NFL will allow the Bills to commit long-term to that stadium without a major renovation committment. The league isn’t going to let Buffalo get by with a cheap stadium.

Everyone needs to layoff the bills to L.A. Thing, not gonna happen… EVER… downtown isn’t a plausible place for a new stadium. What people in other parts of the country don’t understand is that unlike teams in Florida and California Buffalo fans stick by their teams through thick an thin… Go to a sabres game in Carolina, Florida, pretty much anywhere in the south and you’ll see more sabres fans than home fans. We have a HUGE fan base from people that moved away and that goes double for home games. They sellout every game pretty much, not like fla or Cali where you only go to a game when it’s trendy or when your team is winning… We bleed red white an blue for the bills and blue and gold for the sabres. I’ve been to a bucs game in Tampa v. The saints and the crowd is such a mix of fans from all over the country I wouldn’t call it home field advantage at all. I completely agree with you about Buffalo fans. They are loyal. Even after they leave Buffalo(or the area) I have been a Bucs Fan since I was 7 years old in 1987. How many people from Tampa are moving away? We still have people coming here. Despite the housing and job market- I meet people everyday from everyone from the MidWest and Northeast. They leave their Home Teams area… but keep the loyalty for the team.

The whole city of LA can line up single file and kiss our (Jags and Bills) butts. If you want a team you need to earn it. And then prove you can keep it …. which you didn’t twice.

Bills belong to west NY, a beautiful place. Jags belong in JAX … Duuuuuval!
