APThe Cowboys may need to play the rest of the season without linebacker Sean Lee.
Lee suffered an injury to his right big toe in Sunday’s win at Carolina that could require season-ending surgery, ESPNDallas.com reports.
That news comes as a major surprise because Lee told the Dallas Morning News that he thought he’d be ready to play on Sunday against the Giants.
“I’m going to do what the doctors say and rehab it and see where I’m at, but I think I’ll be ready to roll,” Lee said. “I don’t think it is anything too serious.”
Apparently a more complete medical evaluation of Lee’s injury indicated that it’s much more serious than Lee realized. And the Cowboys may be without one of their most important players.

NO!
Great. One of the few real ballers they have. There goes the Lee-Fense. Good luck Sean.
One of the most under-rated LB’s in the game. Will be a huge loss for the Cowboys.
Go Giants.. Get well soon though great player
I remember wanting the Giants to take this guy. Probably would have too if the Cowboys passed on him a few picks ahead.
I hate the Cowboys, but I’d take this guy on my team in a heartbeat. He’s a throwback to an old school linebacker. Reminds me of Jack Ham. Goodspeed Sean.
Now, that’s big. The only two d players they couldn’t afford to lose was D Ware and Lee. That’s a major blow
great player but he’s made of glass
Get well soon coming from Skins fan, don’t wish injury on nobody
He couldnt stay healthy in college football so why would anybody expect him to stay healthy in the nfl
You mean an NFC East team suffered a serious injury other than the Redskins? Skins have lost 7 starters. Unbelievable.
Nobody cares about how many starters the Deadskins lost.
@yardtape. F*+k you loser. What kind of person celebrates an injured player.
Always hurt…
Well, if true, Dan Connor will really have to step up. Wonder if they can put Spencer in the middle, at times, and Victor Butler on the outside and play with some type of rotation.
@Davidm1886 go on somewhere with the hate spewing
This guy can play but he’s always injured. Too bad.
Hate the cowboys, but love Lee’s game. He’s hoping he comes back 100% healthy.
Looks like another “wait til next year” season for the boys
Here’s hoping

He didn’t celebrate it, he more just pointed out how dumb it is for a skins fan to feel the need to whine about their injuries in a thread about Lee. As an Eagles fan, I could cry about injuries too (Where is our 0-line, FS, DT etc etc), but there is a time and a place for it
ok children calm down. every team loses starters to injuries. the giants have had a massive wave of injuries, and the eagles have lost a few starters as well. @skinsfan – no, the redskins aren’t the only team that has lost starters to injury. @bozeman – yardtape was simply telling the skinsfan to stop b*itching, he wasn’t celebrating anything.
These injuries are going to shape the final half of the season. They’ve been many and they hurt. The healthiest teams will go the farthest.
Well I guess the only reason to watch a Cowboys game now is see how Romo can lose it?
That’s too bad.
I see a post about the skins losing 7 starters lol. News flash your starters are junk anyway that’s why you are constantly picking in the top ten every season
Huge lost for cowboys
As an Eagles fan I hope he does not have season ending injury.I like the game to be competitive as possible and losing your 2nd best LB makes it less competitive.
not a cowboy fan but I like that kid and ware….hope he gets better soon!!

Guess that’s why they’re in their usual place at the bottom oft he division.
The NFC east is now RG3 division for the next 15 years. There is no way to stop him. Cowboys will never have a team to stop him.
Still reeling from that Golden Tate block I bet.
I never root for an injury, especially not to players I can respect. I’m a Giants fan, but Witten, Lee, and Ware are 3 rival players I can respect. Hope the diagnosis is wrong, and Lee is on the field Sunday. You ALWAYS want your opponent to be as healthy as possible. No excuses.
The Redskins, on the other hand… I couldn’t care less. For a team and fanbase that hasn’t won anything in over a decade, they sure do brag a lot. Here’s a tip…if it hasn’t happened yet, don’t brag about it!
Huge loss! Hope he can find a way to get back on the field but if not hope he has a good and speedy recovery!
Don’t think it mattered much giants ended dal season this week anyway. Again!
Skinshail, really? It’s skins div? Really? Eli and Cruz let you guys know real quick who runs the nfl, nfc and nfc east.
It’s not “may” it’s a definite. Lee is out for the season due to the toe surgery. Update your stories, dude.

Um, what have the cowboys won in the last decade? Suck a ****. RG3 will own this division. I know it, the rest of the NFL knows it, every expert and analyst knows it.
Now’s the time for your Giants to make one last super bowl run, because I GAURANTEE you, they will not sniff the division title for a loooong time.
#hatersgonnahate
What would Ronnie Lott do with that toe?
Lee is a trooper but this is very bad, only guy on the team that can stop RG3
It’s a shame Lee can’t stay healthy because he’s such a beast in the middle.
Yeah, the Skins have the young nucleus. It’s only up hill from here. But let these lames have their time. For the next 10 years the division belongs to the Skins.
