So basically it’s just a matter of being able to play through pain. Not a serious injury. So why isn’t he playing through pain. He went out of his way to take a shot at Cutler – he should man up, take a needle and play. Or tweet-apologize to Cutler any time.

Had the exact same injury 1 year ago. Admittedly I am not a professional athlete but it took almost 2 months to be able to run without adjusting my stride. I still feel it occasionally now, best wishes to MJD and the Jags fans, long road ahead.

Hey jagsfanugh….go strain your MCLs and try to avoid an NFL pass rush while planting and making throws all over a field with an OL that sucks! Then you’ll understand why MJfD was out of his place to go call Cutler out and why now he is getting all this grief!

i dont think anyone is trying to be doctors here. mjd is a fan favorite and a NFL favorite among fans. but when he came out of his way to ignorantly call out cutler with a torn mcl (which a QB obviously needs to have full use of) then u deserve what you get when u get hurt on a part of a body you need to be great and ppl call you out.. i hope MJD has a speedy recovery. but i dont like ignorant people who call out people who get seriously hurt bec it seems like everyone else was and he jumped on the band wagon..karma

As a Bears fan that has lived in Jacksonville and some around MJD, I don’t think MJD will ever get it. I hope for the jags he gets right, but Cutler is a true pro.

Not different at all actually. If you are injured to the point where your team is worse off with you on the field then you have to come out. Why put your team in a worse place just to prove that you are tough? MJD is a complete idiot and got his comeuppance.

Look what he’s done for that franchise and throughout his career. He’s taken a beating for a franchise who doesn’t wanna pay his market share but could cut him at any time (less the gentlemen’s agreement that you don’t cut an injured player)
