The Seahawks at 8? That gave me a good laugh. That’s why I don’t look at these power rankings very often.

If the Seahawks had to play a game next week on a neutral field against the Ravens, Broncos, Steelers or Saints, you mean to tell me that they would actually be the favorites? Please! That’s being extremely dumb and putting too much value in the win/loss records and not the actual “power” of the teams.

So, what you are saying is…. If the defense plays as well as it possibly can, and the offense plays as well as it possibly can, then the Packers will win, no question. Hmmmm….. Well, two thoughts come to mind.

1) Duh. I think the same can be said for…pretty much every team.

2) So no one can beat the Packers, they can only beat themselves? Yup, that would be a Packer fan mimicking….every other Packer fan. Maybe it’s something in the cheese…..

I might switch the positions of the falcons and the Texans on the list. Just because they havent lost a game yet doesnt mean they have to be at the very top of the list… at least not yet. when they’re 9-0 then sure. but for now i think the texans are more of a proven comodity than the Falcons.

that’s obviously not saying the falcons are bad by any stretch. they’re very good. but if i had to pick one of the two to win a game to save my hide, the texans or the falcons, i’ll take houston.

this is from a giants fan who doesnt really have a dog in the fight.

btw… Jerry sent us an invitation to come to his house in dallas… something about butts, and whooping. we’ll RSVP this sunday.

Way to completely ignore history here. Vikings, even on down years, have always been competitive against both the Pack and the Bears. That’s the definition of a rivalry and writing them off based on how they happen to be doing this week is a short-sighted analysis for anything NFL related.

NFC North is wide open.

GB’s offense was clearly off in their three losses and their defense played terribly in two of them, yet they lost those three games by a total of only 13 points. But in the last few weeks, the giant has awoken from its slumber. Rodgers is back to shredding defenses, and the teams that have the Pack in their remaining schedule are not looking forward to seeing them (with the possible exception of the Bears hoping for some sweet revenge).

I agree Russel Wilson is a playmaker with potential. I don’t see how the Seahawks can correct the deficiencies at receiver at this point in the season. They tried bringing in veterans in the preseason, and patched together the best corp they could find, but still have had multiple drops. Does this just go away? Ranked too high until this problem is solved.

You can’t tell me there are 22 better teams in the NFL then the Cowboys. Yes they are 3-3, but they have played 4 elite teams, and 2 that aren’t as bad as their records look. 4 of their first 6 games have been on the road and we dominated the giants in game one when the road team rarely ever wins. We will beat the Giants again on sunday and all these people talking crap about the Cowboys now will be quiet. Go Cowboys!!

Our team is not the best in the league and probably won’t be. Too many close losses, not enough defense, and injuries are not an excuse. Sunday night’s win was big (a loss would have been near fatal to our team’s playoff chances), but keep in mind that it was only the Bengals.

The Steelers aren’t dead, but they’re far from thriving. Let’s see a few more wins in a row, preferably some by good-sized margins, and then we can start thinking in terms of a post-season splash.

You guys are so Bias. Just can not admit when you are wrong you have hammered Miami all preseason and season and said they are gonna stink now they are winning games beating teams that are higher in your rankings and you still refuse to rank them according to there record and teams beat. Usually a team with a 500 record that beats easy teams have a low ranking I understand that but You are ranking some teams they beat pretty high but refuse to admit you were wrong about Miami. It is pretty basic a team with identical records play its hard for me to see your logic rating the losing team higher. At some point you guys will need to admit you were wrong. probably even after beating the Jets on Sunday you wont budge but eventually you wil.

I get more insight about Florio from his rankings each and every week. Gotta love the comments. Range from fawning over some teams to baiting the fans of other teams. I think it is less about the rankings and more about illiciting reader comments. Because who really cares how the average talking head ranks football teams anyway?
