Adrian Peterson probably wishes the Vikings were in the NFC West.

The last two times he has faced the Arizona Cardinals, Peterson has been named the offensive player of the week in his conference. For his 153 rushing yards on 23 carries and one touchdown on Sunday against Arizona, Peterson secured his sixth career player of the week award.

Last year against the Cardinals, Peterson scored three first-quarter touchdowns and gained 122 rushing yards in winning the weekly award.

Packers fans may disagree with the selection, given that Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers completed 30 of 37 passes of (81.2 percent) for 342 yards and three touchdowns, good for a 132.2 passer rating.

Through seven games, Peterson has 652 rushing yards, three touchdowns, and zero (yes, zero) lost fumbles. His performance against the Cardinals gives Peterson 29 career 100-yard rushing games, tying him with Robert Smith for the most in franchise history.

Most importantly, Peterson is running like he always did, torn ACL be damned.
