Jason Pinkston gets out of the hospital

The Browns won’t get guard Jason Pinkston back this season, but there’s still good news to report about his health.

Pinkston has spent quite a bit of time in the hospital while doctors tried to figure out what caused a blood clot to make its way into his lung last week, but that stay has finally come to an end. Pinkston tweeted that he felt like Tuesday night was Christmas Eve, an allusion that made more sense when he went back to Twitter on Wednesday to announce the good news about his release from the hospital.

There hasn’t been any public comments about Pinkston’s status to suggest his career is at risk as a result of the blood clot, which should mean he’ll be back at left guard in Cleveland next season. Pinkston had done some good things up front for Cleveland before the clot developed and he should be back clearing holes for Trent Richardson next season as long as no other complications should arise.

Get well soon Jason! You’re a good player and your team needs you, but don’t rush back. Life is more important than football.

    Sincerely,

Current and former players suing the NFL
