If the Giants are going to avoid being swept by the Cowboys, who beat the Giants in Week One, the Giants will need as many of their injured players to be able to play -- and play well.

For two of them, there’s good news and not bad news.

Receiver Hakeem Nicks told reporters that, on Wednesday, he had his best practice since injuring a knee earlier in the season. Quarterback Eli Manning said he saw a “different burst” from Nicks, who has a total of eight catches for 97 yards since Week Two, when he caught 10 passes for 199 against the Buccaneers.

And while running back Ahmad Bradshaw didn’t practice on Sunday, he’s merely resting a foot injury that caused him to miss some practice time last week. Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the fact that he didn’t practice Wednesday does not reflect any concern regarding his availability on Sunday at Cowboys Stadium.

The Giants christened the place in 2010, with a 33-31 victory. Indeed, the Giants have never lost in Cowboys Stadium. If they win again, maybe owner Jerry Jones should change the name of the place.
