It has obviously become a sport to bash Jim Harbaugh, and no doubt he brings some of that on himself with his comments when he should probably say nothing. That said, the earlier comment is exactly on saying that it is very different to call out a player for serially cheating right before a game compared to seeing what you think is holding by DBs and asking for clarification on the rules after the game. He thinks they held, but what he is doing is asking the league to take a look. If they take a look and say that is just good football, then he knows how to coach his players. If the league says that is holding that should have been called, then the refs are likely to get a refresher course on that topic. He is just asking for clarity going forward. That is good coaching, not random complaining. If you can't see that, you are just too caught up in booing a coach you don't like.

He was a bully when he hit a girl at as a picture during the baseball game. This was mentioned on an episode of "HBO's real sports with Bryant Gumbel"

He's more like a douche Because he can be uncool in situations such as his encounter with Jim Schwartz in 2011.

It also doesn't help when you're a bad interviewee who is either dull or condescending.

He was a bully when he hit a girl while pitching during a baseball game as a kid.

Harbaugh looks more like a douche that does uncool things like the way he treated Jim Schwarz in 2011.

He looks like someone who would say "good game, you're a loser!"

It also doesn't help when you're a full interviewee!

haahha 49er fans crack me up.

Harbaugh is a heck of a coach but just a complete jerk as a person.. A lot of great coaches are tho.

49er fans are brining up the seahawk game like sherman played some sort of role in the loss.. The WRs he faced had like 1 catch..

Right now, the 49ers are a much more polished team than Seattle.. Seattle is developing a nice team tho.. theyre completely delusional if they deny that.. that game was incredibly close. so was week 16 in sea last yr.

gotta give harbaugh credit for his ability to coach/motivate but what he said in this case was laughable and just obnoxious. he won the game over his rival. he should be happy and not worry about how his wrs were physically handled by the top cb tandem in the league.

this is completely contradictory to the gilbride stuff. sherman was right with what he said. you have to respect a man with confidence.. if anyone thinks sherman is a douche, they dont understand what the word means.

The reason he fell to the fourth or fifth round is that he's too big to play corner without cheating. Keep watching, fans. If he can't grab and hold, he can't break with wide receivers. There's a reason you don't see corners as large as the Hawks corners. The reason is the five yard rule and once they start enforcing it, the Hawks secondary will be toast.

Sherman is a punk and a crybaby. The rule is clear - no contact after five yards. There is no clear rule on holding by a defensive lineman and the call is very rare. Sherman is just worried that refs will start making the calls. If he can't cheat, he's just not quick enough to stay with most wide receivers out of breaks. Refs start focusing on his illegal contact and he's going to be getting burned over and over. Then, he can cry big wet tears about what a bully Harbaugh is.

When I saw the picture of Sherman getting in Brady's face and rubbing it in after winning a close one, I thought, what an a-hole. He deserves to get burned every week for that no-class show.

Hey Richard, you only started 10 career games at Stanford. You mad bro?
______
I doubt it, because he's about to make millions as a stud NFL corner. Is DeMarcus Ware mad because Auburn, his hometown college, didn't recruit him as heavily as the much smaller Troy University? Nah, I'm willing to bet he's cool with it at this point.

Mr. Wright 212 says: Oct 24, 2012 8:51 PM

1. It is illegal. Just as it goes for offensive linemen; they must let the player go when they turn. Smith holds, while tackles and guards are pulling or kicking out. Those are penalties. Keith Hamilton got called on an ESOTERIC one in Super Bowl XXXV, which killed what little chance the Giants had to win that game by wiping out a Pick 6 by Jessie Armstead. What Smith does is EGREGIOUS compared to that, and he never gets called for it.

2. The assertion was made with two games of tape from last season (and likely other game film from other opponents) FULL of Smith doing it 10-15 times per game and never once getting flagged for it, often blowing up running plays because linemen can’t get a hat on a guy as a result.

3. The very game that this was brought to light, NYG vs. SF, Aikman — predictably as he would have — says that “I dunno that Justin Smith does that”, while they CATCH HIM ON REPLAY HOLDING BEATTY AND BOOTHE just as Aikman chuckles and lies about it.

But Forty Whiner fans still think everyone else is guilty of the world, but everything they do is fair and within the rules. Anthony Davis, Alex Boone and Joe Staley get away with more holding than any other linemen in FOOTBALL. And that includes Patriots and Cowboys linemen, who are the worst offenders on the film that I’ve watched over the past 5-6 years.
----

Silly ignorant comments from an ignorant person. Thats what those are.

All linemen hold. Both offense and defense. Thats a fact. The penalty is when the other guy is trying to get away, and holding him is the only thing keeping him with you. Being physical up front with guys and forcing their whole body back is called blocking, its what the line's job is. Get your facts straight.

You're on the money. And Gilbride's comment was unsolicited while Harbaugh's was in response to a question the day after the game. He had some questions and sent a tape to the NFL . . . as NFL teams do EVERY week. I'm guessing he'll add this subject matter to the no comment category in the future.
