Somebody sounds like they’re upset. Yes, we wore bags but never during that 1 and 15 season did we say we were robbed. And, the funny thing about all of this is because the Saints were so bad for so many years I had to find another team to root for during the playoffs and it was the Vikings. At lest I can say I respect the fact that you responded but at the end of the day we have a Superbowl Championship * or not and you don’t have one

The refs calls changed the game. No flag on the high/low hit that resulted in an int and should have put the Vikings in the red zone and points. That was the game right there. But then 3 bad calls in OT sealed it. Dropped pass called a catch, stopped short on first down and fumbled behind the line but given a first and the phantom PI. Game, set, match served on a silver platter so once again the Saints didn’t earn anything the refs handed them the win. Everyone with eyes knows it. 2009 Saints Tainted title.

This isn’t a “eye witness”, as in witnessing a crime and seeing the suspect for just a split second. These are his team mates and coaches, who signed affadavits stating they KNOW he participated in a pay for injury system. How much hard evidence do you need? Detailed receipts or check stubs stating ‘payment to player ABC for injuring XYZ’? Umm…sure.

its funny how the coaches admitted to making the mistake of the bounty program and not stopping it, yet the players won’t take the same responsiblity for partaking in it and just move on.

The coaches have no choice but to accept whatever punishment The Almighty Goodell dishes out. They have no union and no collective bargaining agreement with the league. If they did not “accept” their punishments, he would just suspend them indefinitely.

This also makes whatever statement Gregg Williams is alleged to have made to the league suspect. If he makes the statement Goodell wants, he may get back in the league (although it brings up the question of what players would want to play for a man who sold out his guys); if he does not, Goodell can suspend him for as long as he wants.

Actually, the NFC Championship was handed to them more by Adrian Peterson and Brett Favre, but that is so much harder to admit, isn’t it?

At this point, perhaps Viking fans in denial should consider professional help.

When all was said and done with the Fujita investigation here is what Roger Goodell determined: he did not contribute to the pay for performance pool, nor did he profit in any way from the pay for performance pool, but he didn’t tell his boss to stop it. In the meantime, he’s served as a representative for the NFLPA to the NFL. Yeah, he’s a real, real bad guy, as evidenced by the overwhelming support he’s received from his fellow players in the NFL. And for those of you who scream that the players aren’t behind him nearly 100% Goodell has more kool air for you.
