You can add both the Cowboys WR to this list – Miles Austin & Dez Bryant – highly overrated. And Cam Newton I am shocked and how often I see NFL fans putting him in the top 5-10 QBs? Really?? What has he done?

Offensive Rookie of the year, on a TEAM that sucks!!!I think that qualifies……

I would have 4 tiers:

Tier 1 – Brady, both Mannings, Rodgers, Brees, and Roethlisberger…Not only incredibly talented, but they’ve already led their teams to at least one Super Bowl.

Tier 2 – Ryan, Schaub, and Cutler, guys with killer talent on winning teams who have yet to make it to the SB dance, but have the chance to get there this year.

Tier 3 – The young guns…RGIII, Locker, Luck, Wilson, Freeman, Bradford, and Ponder…Guys who should only get better with experience.

Tier 4 – Stafford, Sanchez, Romo, Hasselback, and Vick…Guys who’ve had success in the past, but are currently slumping…Stafford is the youngest, and has the most upside.

Tier 5 – The never-weres, or may-never-be’s…Palmer, Flacco, Cassell, Tebow, Quinn, Newton, Skelton, and Kolb…Most upside here belongs to Newton if he can get his head on straight.

One hates to knock a guy when he’s down and injured, but, it’s high time folks stop thinking that the current version of Ray Lewis is the same Hall of Fame RAY LEWIS we all respected. He’s been coasting on that rep for 3 or 4 years now. Same goes for Ed Reed. And, that’s if you consider the games where Reed is even playing, he’s so often injured.

Ed Reed is often injured? That’s a myth, he missed the first 6 game like 3 or 4 years ago but has played every game since. As for coasting on his reputation, is it because of reputation he’s among the INT leaders each and every year? Get a clue…

The Ravens defense as a whole is resting on a vision of themselves from a few years back. They rank 28th in Total Defense. 28th! That’s behind such feared D’s as New England and New Orleans.

But, he’s not overrated as a human being. The guy is a top-quality human being, and for that reason alone – I pull for the guy. For those who don’t know, Tebow has long given an enormous amount of time and hard work (away from the cameras) for needy people, including children at home and abroad in third world countries. He’s just a straight up good guy.

Eli Manning is the most overrated player. Just because the team you play for wins two Super Bowls does not put you into the hall of fame as everybody was ready to do in February. Eli was an average to slightly above average QB until his break-out season last year. It helps that he has the best passing offensive line in the NFL and that he has had a compliment of super fast, elite wideouts to throw to.

Of course, in NYC media, virtually all players are overhyped relative to their counterparts on other teams. And they will continue to be, as long as the NYC has the largest population spending the most time reading this kind of drivel, supporting untold numbers of useless websites, blogs, etc.

Tebow continues to be a joke and distraction… he will never start at QB again… mark it down

Are you the same guy (or one of the thousands) who told us to “mark it down” that Tebow would never start in the NFL? That he would never win a game? That he would never lead a team to the playoffs, or win a playoff game?

Go ahead, keep talking.

Ray Lewis is old. Ray has lost a step. But please watch the tackle he makes with one hand after tearing the tricep of the opposite. He tackled a running back 1-on-1 in the hole and took him down left handed.

So sick of people saying this man can’t play at a high level. He is older and slower but still can play very very well.
