Would be cool for him to get healthy and make some Stunning Clutch catches in the playoffs/superbowl... build up his rep as he heads into FA.

Greg deserves to collect that "BIG" check.

Interesting, to me at least, to watch Cobb step in as the slot receiver and go over the middle the way Driver used to do.

In the end, three years or so from now, we’ll be asking whether the Packers made the right choice to hold onto Driver for the 2012 season and let Gurley leave.</i>

Doubt it. Gurley left the Packers, wasn't signed to anyone's active roster. Went to the Vikings' practice squad and was released. Signed to the Raiders practice squad and isn't there - was just signed to the Bucs practice squad.

If you can't break into those rosters as a WR, is it any wonder why he wasn't gonna make it in GB? They made the right choice. Gurley didn't make the grade in GB, MN, OAK and apparently can't get on the field in Tampa. I wouldn't worry about Gurley vs Driver.

It has taken a few weeks for the offense to click, but they are starting to gel pretty good. Maybe this injury will make Jennings more affordable and more likely to stay in GB.

One thing is for sure TT knows how to draft WRs. So if they need to move on him I don't doubt they will find an effective replacement.

Jennings dont wanna play for Greenbay because they good as told him hes gone next season. an the packers are holding Driver out so they dont have to pay him his bonus money for this season cause hes gone next season too

Jennings is in his contract year and might think GB won't pay him next year. I agree... look for that #85 purple jersey next year (as always). Sucks for him that he is injured because I believe he would play if he wasn't (high character and the team is good).

Driver is gone next season, but will always be Mr. Packer.

Hey numbnuts, this comment was clearly meant to be stated in a joking matter. Have you ever heard of a sense of humor? And what the heck does “have seriously knows no bounds” mean? English pal, learn how to speak and read it correctly. You have shown YOUR intelligence here, that is for certain

-----------------------------

I'll skip the ad-hominem here, since it would be too easy to pick apart the irony in calling someone out about their English using incorrect grammar and punctuation in their "attack", but I digress.

There's absolutely nothing there to suggest it was a joke, and even if there was, it's far from "clear". Come on man, you know your team's fans are the worst of the worst when it comes to couch potato QB/coaching.

Stop the rationalization please — even a non-cheeser recognizes the guy is a great player and a pro bowler that is important to the Pack’s success.

Your stupid is showing. Not surprising from a Vikings fan. Nobody said Jennings isn't a great player. They are saying that they have a lot of talent at the WR position and those WR's have picked up the slack and performed well.

Id love to see how well the Lions or Vikings would do without CJ or Harvin, its almost LAUGHABLE. And the Bears still just dont have any good receivers. Wait, didnt they get David Boston or something this season?? Ha Ha

But is he getting discount double-checked out?

It was only a matter of time until I had a stalker. People from other fan bases want to be me because I'm smarter and I cheer for a far superior team.

Thanks for the adoration! Your team is maybe 4 or 5 years away from catching up to the Packers!

His leadership in the clubhouse is key even if his production is not.

I agree with you on the leadership.

If he were still getting open like he used to, he'd be playing more. Randall Cobb is simply the better, more reliable, more versatile, and explosive player at this point in their respective careers.

Kind of interesting that Donald Driver has not played an increased role with Jennings out.

Not really. DD was on his way out last year, took less to stay this year, and everyone knows this is his last year in G.B. Cobb was set to take over the #2 spot before the season began, and McCarthy even stated they wanted to get Cobb more involved in the offense.

Jennings is as good as gone, and not surprising, Ted Thompson already had a player in place to replace him. Younger, healthier, and cheaper. We've all seen this pattern before.

-----------

Why would he? He has slowly been deleted from the playbook cause you have Nelson, Jones, and Cobb all younger better players.

Hes way past his prime. This is like throwing the ball to Derrick Mason in a Jets uni.

His leadership in the clubhouse is key even if his production is not.
