Vikings try to make a game of it

If the Bucs lose tonight, they will have seen the 17-point lead the Vikings blew against Tampa last year and raised it by three.

Down 30-10 in the third quarter, the Vikings have made things a little more interesting (or, as the case may be, a little less uninteresting) with a 64-yard touchdown run from tailback Adrian Peterson.

The effort puts Peterson over the 100-yard mark for the 30th time in his career, a new franchise record.

It won’t mean anything unless the Vikings can play a little (or any) defense, and erase the existing 13-point gap.
