Vikesfansteve: While I can appreciate your enthusiasm, I think it may be blinding you to the truth? There is NO WAY this team is gonna win 5 more games and even if, by some outside chance they would make it to post season (which will never happen) they’d get crushed immediately.
They’re doomed to be subpar until they get a much better QB.

I don’t understand why Ponder wasn’t pulled and Joe Webb given a chance. Defenses have figured Ponder out , but the Vikings run defense was terrible the first half……Musgrave’s play calling is also strange….

Why do the Vikings not activate Wright?

Ponder has had a tough run but he isn’t the repeatedly missing blocking assignments.

The defense just couldn’t stop the 3rd down conversion. Same exact story every year for the Vikings.

Not worried because the Vikings have 10 days to prepare for the Seahawks and then a big home game against Detroit. 6-4 or 7-3. Then they get their bye and have 2 weeks to prepare for the Bears. Even if they loose in Chicago they get another game 2 weeks later. They will win that.

They still have a good chance to make a run at the playoffs.

They always struggle against Tampa Bay and they are atrocious at night and in prime time.

The Vikings can still win 10 games.

Christian Ponder is holding the team back from making a playoff run this year. He’s been average at best. Riding on the back of Peterson and throwing bubble screens to Harvin can only get you so far. If Ponder showed even a little glimpse of being good the Vikes would be ok but he’s played very mediocre. Plus the Vikes really needed that game. The schedule from here on out is possibly one the toughest in the NFL.

The problem is the depth drops off a lot after Harvin and Peterson and they need to find someone Via FA to spread the field because Simpson isn’t cutting it. Lets not forget as the NFL crew stated this is a team a year or two away. Defense is very young and only a couple of players away.

It just goes to show you when an offense can produce a big lead like Green Bay did last year, you can even make their Defense look good.

Ponder is not progressing the way he should be is obvious.

This is easily the worst 5 win team in the league. Ponder is a complete joke. He is a great 3-7 yard pass QB with great accuracy. If dink and dunk won a lot of games, he would be one of the best. When they play teams where they need to score a lot of points or come from behind, forget about it.
