The rule says all significant injuries must be listed, even if the player misses no reps or game time. How is an injury significant if you miss no reps or game time…

Reed is weirdly following a Favrelike path. First he starts being waffly about whether he’ll come back or not the past few years. Now he discloses an injury and gets his franchise fined. He will probably end his career wearing purple. What’s next?? Someone take away his cellphone!

A player in collusion with gamblers is banned. A league in collusion with gamblers via these mandatory injury reports is…”protecting the shield”?

I’ve never heard a valid reason for these reports and probably never will.

I hope the Ravens start reporting everything from hang nails to hemorrhoids. Ridiculous that a player can take all the reps and play in the game, but needs to be listed. I usually am on the league’s side of things, but this one is puzzling.

Why bother at all? Teams do not game plan based on the vague references in the injury report. The only people that benefit from the data have nothing to do with the game itself…Vegas odds-makers and fantasy football players. (Vegas benefits because nobody with “insider info” can take advantage of point spreads) The only reports that matter are active vs. inactive. The rest is too vague to be useful.
