Who care? In the only stat that matter, points per game, the steelers aren’t even in the top 10. And that’s after playing offensive juggernauts like the Raiders and Titans.

Oh and before you talk smack about the Ravens defense, they have only given up 1 more point per game, and they’ve played Houston, New England, Philly and Dallas.

To me that sounds like it’s been conservative so far. Last Sunday we had the first gadget play and before that the 82 yard bomb to Wallace. Maybe as the o-line shows signs of strengthening and the defense tightens up, they will start to pull the trigger. So far it’s nice having Ben not limping to and from the huddle.

The system should have been tweaked a couple or three years ago. The only real criticism is that the point total doesn’t equate to the yards gained, but a weak run game has something to do with that. And that part of the offense should get better before it gets worse.

Seriously? For starters, Ben has taken his team to the playoffs in every season he has been in the league with the exception of 2. He has a playoff record of 10-3, has won 2 Super Bowls and been to 3. He is nearing every Steelers QB record. He has a career record of 83-36 and 25 game winning drives. Newton hasn’t played that many games yet.

We know, people hate Ben, fine, we don’t care. Don’t think for a second that Newton, with all the potential in the world, is in the league of Ben Roethlisberger at this point in his career.
