Interestingly, I haven’t seen you call out fellow vikings fans for trolling, or even going beyond trolling and hoping for Packers players to be injured.

I’m not saying he’s the answer. But look at the play calling. He’s young, he’s never going to gain any confidence if Musgrave is always putting him in a bad situation. Or calling plays that aren’t suited for his skills. The play calling has been terrible. People, we are supposed to be a run first team. But when you pass on 1st, and 2nd downs, and sit in a 3rd and long, that’s not a good situation for a young qb… Remember, he’s young. Basically has one season now. with only one offseason. Coaching staff has more to do with his development than anything. And at this point, i’d blame musgrave over ponder. Peterson needs more 1st and 2nd down carries! Flat out, start there, and put the playaction in on 3rd down. Playaction doesn’t fool anyone when we don’t run the ball on 1st and 2nd down hardly ever!

Cook was actually playing pretty decent. But yeah, Ponder is terrible. We’ll never be a Super Bowl contender with him at the helm. He’s just way too limited. Which sucks, because he’s a great guy. He just doesn’t have the arm to make teams respect the passing game. Hopefully I’m wrong, but I don’t think I am.

Peyton Manning himself had a much more brutal rookie season and he even had better receivers. Ponder, for a young QB, has looked sharp. I think the problem is that peoplr forget tha he is essentially a rookie this year (plus a few games) who is leading a team that just last year had their worst season in franchise history.

People expect him to play like Tom Brady or Aaron Rogers, but both of those QB’s have tons more experience than Ponder and both have better all around teams surrounding them.

Give the kid another year or two… right now it’s just too early to tell how good he will or won’t be.

Even thoughthey seem like a team that can grind a game out and have it decided on last second field goal like they did the first two weeks. If they ever get down early like last night, its near impossible for them to come back on the arm of Ponder at this point in his career.

They got a way tougher schedule coming up. Also they need to play all but one of thier division games so that will be a pretty big task.
