once more, not because ‘you’ will get it but just because.
bounty; cash for injury; not just shakeup or trepidation about crossing routes but getting someone taken off the field on a stretcher.
defiance; receive league warning about bounties and continue anyway.
jets; WAY too much talking. but hot sauce and dotting are about laying a good hit on somebody and trying to limit their production.
ryan said he would never want to see somebody injured. reached for sincerity by coming up with examples of how an injury (at least to a high end player), hurts the game.
even after the fact, where’s that quote from payton or the dc?

This whole trash talk thing is usually hyped by media. To get better ratings on a particular fans. Miami is a surprising team this year and jets are playing better than what people expected. The only reason jets are more outspoken is because of newyork media knows how to get stuff out of their mouths to make game more interesting. Believe me these players off the field have better relations.

I don’t think Bush ever said that Revis or the Jets got what they deserved I believe he said what goes around comes around. That doesn’t sound like he is saying Revis deserved to get injured, hust saying that hey if you say your going to try and hurt a player and then one of yours gets hurt it is karma.

Ummm…Absolutely unprovoked by any public trash talk, Cro was calling the QB of my team an F******* A****** to the media. He has ZERO business deciding what is professional behavior.

I love tough physical football, but I HATE most tiffs after the whistle because they can cost my team valuable yards. Much as I love Rodney Harrison which is 100%, there were times I was screaming at my TV for BB to take him out of the game because he got TOO into it.

I actually don’t mind Rex most of the time but it’s a true fact that I never even knew what Revis’ voice sounded like when Mangini was the HC.

I really feel sorry for Tim Tebow. Everything about Tebowmania aside, you can’t deny that he is truly a good person. And in the end, he winds up playing for Rex Ryan and the New York Jets, a “team” that offends everyone and inspires no one.

i don’t understand. Rex Ryan explicitly talked in his book about “dotting” opposing players before the jets played them and how a player does NOT want to be “dotted” by the jets. then the jets come out and talk hot saucing specific players and head hunting and purposefully knocking key opponents out of the game (and succeeding).

maybe there was no $ offered but if Goodell’s whole issue is the bounty/injury targeting then HOW is this the dot system any less systematic than the saints’? The saints just got hounded for everything the jets are strutting around doing and nobody is turning a head.

On the surface it seems like all the jets defenders will be targeting Reggie. But behind Reggie’s attempy to play well and shut up the jets is an offensive line that is going to play out of their minds to steamroll the jets D, and open up big runs for Reggie.
To qoute Bart Scott about this game Sunday, “Can’t wait!”
