Giants leave Phillips, Bernard in New York

New York Giants Kenny Phillips to call by replacement referee Peter Shafer on a play against Chicago Bears in NFL game in East Rutherford Reuters

Two members of the Giants won’t have to worry about getting home in a storm after Sunday’s game against the Cowboys.  They won’t be going to Dallas in the first place.

According to Jenny Vrentas of the Newark Star-Ledger, both safety Kenny Phillips and defensive tackle Rocky Bernard have been downgraded to out for Sunday’s showdown against the Cowboys.  Both were previously listed as doubtful; Phillips (knee) and Bernard (quad) each have missed the past three games.

The other question mark for the Giants is running back Ahmad Bradshaw.  He is listed as questionable with a foot injury, but he has said he’ll play.
