Getty ImagesFor the first time since 2004, Jets linebacker Bart Scott will miss a game today.
The Jets listed Scott as doubtful on their injury report, and Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports that Scott has been ruled out for today’s game.
Scott suffered a toe injury a month ago and has been hobbling through it since, but the Jets have decided to sideline him today to help it heal. Scott’s playing time has been limited and he hasn’t been particularly effective while he’s been hurt.
Scott had played in 119 consecutive games heading into today. He missed the final three games of the 2004 season with the Ravens, and those are the only three games he’s missed in his 11-year career, until today.

He has missed a few games that he has actually played in lately…. Im just saying
As a Jets fan, i only have one thing to say:
CAN’T WAIT
There’s a Rex foot-joke in there somewhere but I’m just too tired of the Jets to come up with one.
As a jets fan, I had no idea there was a streak due to the fact that he has been an epic disappointment since his arrival
He isn’t who we thought he was….
Knew he was bothered by it on Gronks second TD, where he looked like he was just walking trying to cover him.
Can’t wait.
can’t PLAY
He isnt playing because he knows with the cheap shot he put on bess last year and all the trash talking from his teammates and his coach that the phins were going to stomp on his toe every chance that they could get.
But his mouth is still running, right?
This should help the Jets. This helps Rex put Scott where he should be,on the bench !
Hey Bart, Retirement ? Can’t Wait !
We still don’t miss you in bmore. Keep running your mouth.
Did Rex cry?
Sorry Bort not everyone can be as good as London Fletcher.
