You slipped, fell, and your team lost because you blundered when they needed you the most. Smith is the biggest punk in the NFL.

He already has, just that no one cares nationally (with good reason). He called out the locker room as a whole, mentioning the losing culture we have after yesterday’s game.

Uh……. with the exception of the Giants game this year, they do. Five of the six losses have been decided by 6 points or less, with 2 of the losses coming to game winning field goals as time expired. They put the same amount of effort in this one as they did in most of their previous games. The real problem with the Panthers is they lack clutch players, coaches, and staff on both offense and defense.

What happened? He had a QB with about a quarter of the physical skills of your current one who nonetheless could close out games most of the time even when the D didn’t play that well.

Nahhhh…judging by your username you didn’t appreciate that guy either. Probably think SS “made” him. Truth is he was the first last and only QB you’ve ever had who could handle SS.

Actually, nothing…Steve Smith has never faced the Bears in the playoffs, and despite 565 yds. receiving against us in 4 regular season games, he has 0 TDs and a 1-3 record, the only Panthers win coming in ’02 when he ‘only’ had 97 yards…In ’05, he had 169 yards, Bears still won 13-3…Last year he had 181 yards while the Panthers lost 34-29.

It’s all stats, he has not helped with a single TD catch, and the one Panthers win he played in was ten freakin’ years ago.

So tell me, who should really shut up?

Yeah, great. Steve Smith puts up big yards against the Bears. He fell down today when he needed to stand tall. The man who lined up against him all day scored more touchdowns than he did. He was a non-issue today. His comments after the game are the definition of “sour grapes”.

the bears are a lot like atlanta. not nearly as scary as their record suggests. don’t look a gift-horse in the mouth, and cut out the crappy sports cliches. you got beat up and down by a 1 win, shockingly unclutch team at home and somehow won a game by accidentally tripping over it. send smitty a thank you letter, but don’t act like like you didn’t wet your pants all afternoon.

Maybe Mr. Smith should save the criticism for his team, who choked pretty hard today? And isn’t just as easy for Jennings to make an excuse here or there for a play, Mr. Smith?

Since Jennings has been a Bear, Mr. Smith and co. have not beat the Bears. That sir, is probably something you should keep in mind.
