Getty ImagesThe initial report on Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill’s condition doesn’t sound too bad for the rookie.
Peter King of Football Night in America spoke to Dolphins coach Joe Philbin and Philbin said that Tannehill suffered a left quad and knee contusion in the first quarter of Sunday’s 30-9 win over the Jets. Tannehill was hurt on a sack by Jets linebacker Calvin Pace and hobbled off the field. Matt Moore took over at quarterback and didn’t make any mistakes while navigating the Dolphins to their fourth win of the season.
Philbin said that they wouldn’t know more about Tannehill’s outlook until Monday, but King said that the coach didn’t sound worried. As of now, there’s no expectation that he will miss any time as a result of the injury.
If so, that means he’ll be at the controls in an intriguing matchup of rookie quarterbacks piloting 4-3 teams when the Dolphins head to Indianapolis for a date with the Colts.

Hopefully he will be back in time to battle with the Geico Cave Quarterback.
who wouldve thought the dolphins colts game would mean anything..well done both teams
Looking forward to this battle between a pair of future All-Pros… and hoping Tannehill comes out on top. Fins Up.
I would rather have a tough-as-nails “Cave Quarterback”, than some powderpuff former WR.
dolphins fans dont wanna see my colts, we fry dolphin meat for fun!!!

If Shone Greene can run wild on the Colts then imagine what Bush and Thomas will do.

Dolphins have a chance to also make that 2nd round pick they got from the Colts more valuable.
Wonder if Davis will play this game after getting hurt?

I bet its a long tradition that goes back forever that you harvest them from that big ocean your state is next to huh?
I think the Fins will win this one. They have a much better D that will rattle Luck. And Bush and Thomas should be able to run all over that horible Colts D. Cant wait for the fins to be 5-3
It WON’T mean anything later because both teams are not going to make the playoffs, they are both playing last place schedules(look at whats happened to the Lambs after their fast start) and they are both mediocre teams that have gotten breaks with officiating. If Gordon doesn’t drop the ball in the sun in the Browns game,Colts lose, if ref makes right call on Allen Fumble, Colts lose. They are a 2-5 team in reality, just like Seattle’s false win over Green Bay. Miami isn’t much better and they could lose to the Colts
