ReutersLions safety Louis Delmas missed the first four games of the season with a left knee injury. He now has another one.
Per a league source, X-rays were negative but further testing (specifically, an MRI) will be conducted on Monday. The injury happened in the third quarter. Delmas was examined on the sideline and then taken to the locker room.
Per various reports on Twitter, coach Jim Schwartz declined to characterize the condition as a re-injury.

I always complain about Delmas being hurt, to the point where I was sick of people talking about the difference he makes for our secondary.
That being said, wow, it was noticeably better the last few weeks with him in there. And now he’s hurt again. Oh well, I’m used to it.
I jumped off the delmas bandwagon but after he’s been in the game the last few weeks our defense is a totally different team. He’s such a difference maker to bad he can’t seem to stay healthy.
No story on the Lions win? Why am I not shocked…….
If it was enough for him to agree to be pulled from the game, it’s a big deal.
Delmas has always been one of the defensive leaders, they need his energy and killer instinct.

This puts the Lions down their two starting safeties (Delmas, Spievey), and three of their top-four CBs (Bentley, Lacey, Florence). Grrrrreat. At least we have Jacksonville and Minny the next two weeks, two lackluster passing attacks. Hopefully most of those guys are back by the GB game in three weeks.
@charlesanakin what about the guy behind houston??
