jacksons not coming to greenbay people, get over it. this is ted thompson your talking about…. TT wouldn’t give up a 3rd rounder for lynch a couple of years ago, what makes you think he’ll do it now? he holds those pick to close folks. it would be nice, but the packers have more problems than just a running game.

Considering the Rams have all those early picks from the Redskins…

Give any team those amount of quality picks and they at the very least stumble upon some Quality players….

That would imply that Carolina, Jacksonville and Kansas City are capable of winning at least two more games each (and the Browns and Saints one more game each). Rams have zero chance for the top pick.

But you are correct in that they shouldn’t be playing to succeed this year. This is a building process, and honestly even if they don’t win another game this season pretty much has to be considered a success just based the change of attitude and culture in the locker room.

Would love to see Jackson on GB. It’s good to see teams calling about him. I think everyone realizes it’s more a case of the Rams being so bad offensively than Jackson breaking down.

That said, I don’t think it’s going to happen. Grabbing Benson went against the grain enough as it was. GB picking up a free agent, followed by a trade in the same season?

If it does happen, and they can dump Finley off, DO IT. PLEASE. Finley’s attitude and lack of ability to catch perfectly thrown passes tells us all that he’ll never amount to anything.

They might as well. They stink with him, might as well suck without him and get some high picks for the future. Same reason I think the Jags should have moved Jones-Drew, pre-injury.

Top tier running back is currently a luxury item.

“Rams are truly contending.” Are we talking about the Rams team in the NFL?! At any rate, though I have no interest one way or the other, I think Mr. Jackson has served his time and without whining. It would be a good break for a deserving player.

This is the NFL we’re talking about, teams aren’t smart enough or don’t have enough job security to think a year in advance.

The Rams are ok but they are certainly not contending, it will still probably be another year or two so why not trade Jackson now and see what you have in your other back, both parties would be happy.

It’s too bad the prime years of Steven Jackson were wasted on a dysfunctional franchise and he never once complained or wanted out. He deserves to goto a contender and share a backfield.

He’s still good enough to not be washed-up Ladainian 3rd down back territory yet but I think best way to use him is to split his touches and keep him fresh

It’d be smart for the Rams front office to ship him out as they know he’s lost a step, but still playing at a high level, and don’t want the PR nightmare of negotiating a high-profile contract with a franchise player for past accomplishments whose best days are already behind him

I’d suggest that 2 of the 4 games Benson played before injury were very respectable rushing numbers- and it looks like his average touches were going up.
