Moore is done. He wasn’t anything good for Pittsburgh. Try ha guys better than him and guys with more leadership. I can’t see anyone signing him. Ont reason he went to colts was cuz Arians wanted someone familiar for his offensive plan that didn’t work for Pittsburgh. And is barely working for colts.

For a mid round pick in ’04, he had a nice career. Like many former Vikings players and coaches, he went on to get a ring before the Vikings. Maybe he’ll catch on as a third down back somewhere, but age is against him.

I don’t think Moore’s release has so much to do with him as the emergence of Vick Ballard. That kid can play ball.

Not so much. Steelers tried to use him in short yardage the past couple of seasons, and he was consistently getting caught behind the line of scrimmage. Whether the blocking was hideous (it was), or Arians’ plays were too slow to develop (they were), or Moore just didn’t have the speed to get out of the way anymore, I don’t know.

He was a huge part of the 2008 Steelers’ title run. I had hoped he would be able to keep it up, but it wasn’t to be.

Wish you luck Moore. Big time clutch player. Not flashy but can always count on him getting open on 3rd and short. He was better used as a screen guy. Dont know why they ran him.

The guy was done. I’m guessing that 90% of why he was brought in was to mentor the young RBs and to help them learn Arian’s offense. With the injuries at RB, he was a luxury the could no longer afford.
