Mularkey already ruling MJD out this week

The early reports were that Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew would miss “multiple games” with a foot injury.

Such that “multiple” means “more than one,” those reports were dead on.

Jags coach Mike Mularkey announced this afternoon that Jones-Drew won’t play this week against the Lions, according to John Oehser of the team’s official website.

Backup Rashad Jennings ran 17 times for 59 yards in a closer-than-expected 24-15 loss to the Packers, and has performed well in his opportunities.

That quarterback Blaine Gabbert was able to get by with an injured non-throwing shoulder helps, but the Jaguars aren’t in a spot where they can comfortably miss starters.

They had to send down to Pediatrics for a set of crutches for MoJo, but luckily found a pair that fit perfectly.

Remember the Raiders last year acting like Mcfadden had a chance to come back every week? Same thing here. MJD is done for the season.
