For the record, Alex Smith and the 49ers did NOT beat Rodgers and the Packers. The Packers beat themselves.

So well, umm….you’re an idiot.

He isn’t playing any of those guys, he’s playing their defenses. And considering that up until this game, both the Cards and Seahawks had top ten defenses, shows that you really don’t have a clue as to what it is you’re talking about Brainiac.

remember there was an offer on the table for Smith to sign long before he went shopping at Miami. he refused to sign it, until he came back from his trip there.

His passer rating is better than Tom Brady’s, Big Ben’s, RG III’s and Eli Manning’s, and no one is talking about sitting him down. And geez, he has more ints already than the five he threw last year? Seriously? Five last year. Five. Not twenty-five. Five. Pretty hard to repeat that.

Know how many times Brady has thrown 5 ints or less? Once. Know how many times he’s thrown 10 or less ints in a year? Twice.

Heck, I’d be willing to bet that the majority of Hall of Fame QBs have never thrown 5 ints or less in a year. So please, let’s stop with the irrational responses to Alex Smith and the silly comparisons. The guy is winning and he isn’t doing it just by showing up and handing the ball off.

Don’t mean to rain on your parade, but 18 of 19 for 230 and 3 TDs, when the incompletion was a drop, that’s a better day than all but a handful of QBs have had. Taking out the legends, who has done better than 90% completions, better than 200 with three TDs and no mistakes?

When Alex Smith plays well against a good team let me know. Beating teams led by John Skelton, Russel Wilson and Ryan Fitzpatrick is one thing, beating the elite of the league is something else.

Sure, how about Aaron Rogers, Mathew Stafford, Eli Manning (last year), Drew Breez (last year) just to name a few

Other than people in nut houses, who talks like that?

It’s worth noting that the incompletion came on a drop that hit a wide open Walker in the hands, and the 49ers could have easily let Smith throw one more at the end but decided just to run out the game.

Arizona isn’t that bad of a team, but a mixture of injuries in the running game, and an O-line that isn’t good enough to protect a mediocre running back, or any of the QBs there is too difficult for anyone to overcome.
