Gabbert looks like an up and coming quarterback when he gets protection and his receivers hold onto the ball. He had over 300 yards Sunday. If the receivers hadn't dropped those 9 passes, he would have had close to 400 yards. I'm not saying he's the next Joe Montana, but he's better than people think.

He is also only 22 and will keep getting better.

The receivers need to put some lotion on those alligator hands.

@mrlaloosh:

When I read your comment, I first wanted to punch you, then I laughed and now I can't believe it, but I agree with you.

It takes talent to catch a ball from an NFL QB. Gabbert, even with the 9 drops, was over 300 yards on the day. Imagine the yards if we eliminated drops. Or half of them.

Agree that the Browns are just as bad at dropping the ball. But that Gordon kid has the potential to be great.

Believe it or not, Gabbert looked good on Sunday. But some of his passes are still mind-boggling.
Mike Thomas is one of the most overpaid players in the game. He is awful.
Cecil Shorts is starting to come around. But will never be more than a #3.
Blackmon definitely has the talent to be a stud. He just needs to actually use that talent.
And Laurent Robinson hasn't done anything...
This O definitely needs some major help

Dropped passes happen to every team. Jags have issues beyond that. Consistency by the QB being a major one."

Gabbert was not an issue on Sunday. He played good. Gumbel and Dierdorf remarked on almost every drop about how perfect his passes were. He could have easily had 400 yards if Shorts doesn't drop that long pass and Blackmon gets his feet in bounds on the sideline pass.

Cheeseheads get let off the hook again. How many years is it gonna take for Jackassville to come up with some sort of passing game? Swear it seems they haven't had a connection since Leftwich to Jimmy Smith.

Unless you are a fan of the Garrard to Matt Jones connection, in that case you might not be that well connected.

Hehe. Happy Tuesday y'all.
