The Rams have three rookie RBs on the depth chart behind Jackson, with 66 career carries between them.

Trading Jackson would turn this unit into the thinnest, greenest RB corps in the NFL. This, on a team that wants to run and needs to be able to run to compete.
The Rams have been able to run effectively at times. That has neutralized a pass rush and also led to an effective play action; Sam Bradford is on pace for career highs in completion percentage and passing yards.
Jackson is by far their best RB in pass protect. They can’t trust their rookies in blitz pickup. Have to consider Sam Bradford’s welfare too.
I like Darryl Richardson but God forbid the Rams trade Jackson and Richardson gets hurt or proves to have a ball security issue. Then what?

I want to see Jackson play on a contender just as much as any of you(maybe more). But not at the Rams’ expense. They need him here.

Most likely landing spot: Green Bay

Dark Horse team: Dallas Cowboys

Best Fit: New Orleans

Worst Fit: Kansas City Chiefs
